I am very concerned about privacy due to this.
I am definitely concerned about my privacy.
I always assume smart speakers and smart phones are listening to our converstions.
Yes, but not to the point that I am overly concerned about it. I am sure that it is listening to me even when it is not actively in use, but I think that it is something you have to live with in order to enjoy the benefits and convenience that comes with using the product.
Yes, to many coincidences for them not to be.
I think my alexa speaker is constantly recording and listening
Yes, I am concerned that smart speakers are recording and analyzing my conversations. I am not a big fan of them because of this.
I think that smart speakers, computers and phones all pick up on audio and algorithms analyze the audio for target words and then send you advertisements based on the audio.
They can be mixed and re-edited later.
It seems too easy for them to at least pick up on some words and use them for whatever reasons.
Yes I think that makes me a little uneasy because I know it probably isn't happening, but it could.
Google Operation Gladio, Operation Condor, Google LASD gangs. That's why.
I am slightly worried about it because we don't seem to have a lot of safeguards on new technology like this, but I am overall not super worried. just like slightly worried.
They are because it's part of their purpose to always be listening
Yes, I believe you can't be too careful. With all this technology, it is easy to be tracked.
I am concerned that our conversations are being recorded, analyzed, and kept by others. Who has access to this data? For how long is this data kept? Is this information being accessed by the government and or sold to third parties?
I've always felt that they are silently listening for keywords or phrases that I don't intend them to.
I think that they monitor your speech at any given moment and would be connected to the government for sure
I know they are because i've mentioned things and then got ads for them pop up an hour later, even though I didn't type anything in in regards to what I said. I can say something completely unusual like "cruise to Italy" and an hour later Italy travel deals will pop up.
I am concerned over some of the breaches and security and data collection occurring over smart devices of any kind.
Yes this causes a privacy concern for me. I am worried about my personal information being collected, stored, sold whenever i have a conversation with someone such as revealing my date of birth, where i live, bank information etc
I picked A as my top choice as I often fear someone would hack into those devices and record everything I do.
I think it is very realistic that it is happening. It is slightly concerning that this occurring.
yes lol i do not have any in my house for that reason
I know they are because anytime you mention anything you may need you start getting ads pertaining to that item.
I have heard of many recent articles and news stories about privacy concerns of those devices. I do not personally own one for this reason. I just do not believe they are safe, and they are easily hackable.
I'm thinking in order to be efficient, smart speakers would have to gather voice data as much as possible.
Yep and that's why I don't use them.
Yes, I have major privacy concerns with smart speakers so I don't currently use them.
I do not like that I do not have privacy with what I say in my own home in private conversations.
There is proof of this happening already. Amazon was caught doing it.
I choose option A because I am somewhat concerned about the privacy of my speech and data.
Yes, I feel they are enabled to record even when I don't know. We need better regulation of this. I'm afraid it is always listening even when I tell it not to. And I've read stories where the smart speakers have been called into court based on recordings.
Yes because it collects more information of me to sell to others. It intrudes in my privacy when I do not even know about it.
The slight with devices is that it goes everywhere and has unlimited reach.

Not really. I think smart speakers are only in use when you speak to them directly.
I'm not convinced they are not doing this but I'm not very concerned about it either.
I am not concerned - I welcomed the device into my home. As long as the device and its operator cannot single me out individually, it doesnt bother me
No, I don't really think that something like that would happen to me. It just seems a bit too farfetched.
I am not. I have lived several years as if every thing that I do is being recorded somehow. I try to live my best life, be good to others, live honestly and humbly. But no, as a general rule I don't believe I am being analyzed.
It doesn't bother me as much as it used to. I think your phones do the same thing and I'm around my phone all the time. It is what it is.
I have heard a lot about it and "though" I've seen examples, but I'm still not 100% sure of it.
I know they could but I feel like this falls under the category of why would anyone want to do that.
I feel like a lot of things are spying on us.. I don't know if the speakers are or not. But I don't really think they are.
I don't think it is recording my conversation
I am not sure they are and I don't have any secrets.
Typically smart devices only record listen when they commanded to listen.
No I'm not overly concerned as I use the security and privacy controls on all smart-home products available and review them periodically. Essentially, I have little of value to anyone listening or potentially recording anything anyway.
no i am not concerned
No, I do not feel that this is a significant or common issue.
