i would like to have more food in those, it was barely enough for one
I like these services as they can make life more convenient and honestly just save time when it comes to food.
I used hellofresh, I thought it was great especially for my wife who doesn't cook she took part in it and tried it. small portions and a bit pricey but interesting none the less
The convenience is not worth it for the overabundance of single-use plastic. I feel too guilty consuming this way, especially with the toll of shipping. I feel better buying local ingredients. No issues with taste.
Yes I have, they are good but cost too much
I haven't tried this but I like the idea.
They are convenient, but there has been times when the food wasn't fresh, or it was too expensive.
i have never tried using these services.
I like them but there are too many complicated steps and they are too expensive for the price per serving.
i have not actually tried them because I have picky eaters at home and the recipes I have seen online do not coincide with what my family would typically eat.
They're great, I just wish they could make them for single people!
I haven't tried them. The seem expensive for what you get, and I'm concerned about portion sizes, packaging waste, and whether or not they can be adapted to my needs.
These are nice because they give you the exact ingredients, so less waste! I like them but wish they were more affordable for me.
I've tried them in the past, just to see what they were like. I was really pleased with the results. I may even try it again in the future.
Average food, but too expensive .
Too expensive for a family of 4.
I PREFER TO GO OUT AND BUY WHAT I NEED THERE ARE SOME INGREDIENTS THAT I DO NOT LIKE THAT COME IN THE KITS.
I have not tried them personally, but they are a wonderful idea that if I needed to I would take advantage of.
No I have not tried home meal kit services. I have a large family and it is not cost effective for me to use them. I would try them if I was only cooking for myself or even one other person.
I think that it is convenient, but it is a lot more cost effective to go to the store, buy your own stuff and cut and portion it yourself. If I had unlimited money, I might do it, but I don't live in a tax bracket where I can afford to pay people to cut things up for me and put it in ziplock bags.
I have not tried such a service. I like to pick out my meals myself, based on what I'm in the mood for. I work at a location that sells groceries, so buying ingredients is not a hassle for me. Although, if my circumstances were different, I would probably try a service.
i think they are great but quality and price could use some adjusting
I really like these kinds of services but wish they had more variety and diversity i.e. meals from other cultures and countries.
I really enjoyed the home cooking kits that I have tried. They gave me easy to make recipes for food that I don't typically eat.
I love them because when your mind is trying to look for an idea for dinner, they already have one for you
I have not yet tried a home meal kit service. I worry that these services, while convenient, may be too expensive for someone on my budget.
from the experience i had from blue apron it was not too bad so i think i would get it again .
I tried one last year that was given to me as a gift. It was a six month subscription. The meals sent me where nice meals, in some ways much more extravagant than I have cooked before. It made me try cooking things, and cook in ways, that I have not done before and probably would not have tried. These experiences can be challenging sometimes, but none are too difficult. The learning experience is nice and I have used some techniques on other dinners. It is also nice that I learned a lot more about some spices that I had not tried before. The one thing I did not like about the service is most of the meals are pretty small portions.
These services are convenient and the food tasty at a reasonable price.
Usually have good recipe options but I almost wish the ingredients would stay fresher. They're also pretty expensive still.
Yes I have. I think it's nice to try once in awhile though I would not have the energy to use them all the time.
I tried Blue Apron a few years back. It was pretty impressive. The food was well done and the pricing was reasonable.
I have been using Blue Apron for several years and really enjoy the quality of the ingredients and the diversity of meals it has offered me.
Overall, I really enjoy trying out meal kit services. We have tried a few different ones and I like how they give us new ideas for meals we can recreate again in the future. I like how they provide all of the ingredients (other than sometimes things like butter, olive oil, etc). They only downfall is that a lot of these meal kits are pricey. When you have the initial trail offer the prices aren't as bad, but when you have to pay full price they can be a bit expensive per serving.
I liked the ease and simplification of having your meals planned out, all the ingredients ready for you with easy recipes. What I did not like was the price. For a family of 5 the price per person for a weekly meal delivered was outrageous! I think for families this is not a good option. Many of the recipes were great but I had a lot of the ingredients in the pantry and my spice cabinet. I think these home meal kits are great for couples or singles who do not have kids. Most meal kits do let you customize your dinners but we still found that many meals the kids hated.
No. They tend to be much more expensive than just buying the ingredients yourself. While some of the recipies are probably good, they are just priced too high for what they include
I have not tried them yet, right now they are too expensive for me.
I haven't tried them, but think they would be a waste of money. Especially since I live down the street from a grocery store.
I find meal kits to be a waste of time because from what I see they are expensive and overly processed regardless
I like Hello Fresh a lot and would use it again.
The statement "deliver ingredients" doesn't sound very exciting. I'm looking to get more than ingredients.
The recipes are often great and tasty. BUT, the recipes often require a bit of work to prepare, and so it's far from instant fresh and healthy food. And portion sizes are often very small.
I have tried Blue Apron before. I liked that everything was there and it gives you instructions on how to cook a meal that you have never cooked before. I like how I learned some new cooking techniques. I did not like the cost, which was too high. I did not like the portion sizes, I thought they were to small for the amount of money paid.
It's good but the price is pretty high and the serving sizes are not as big as I like.
it saves me from going grocery shopping and it makes me cook meals i wouldnt usually cook
I have not tried Home Meal Kit services, and I would rate them a 3 on that note. I feel that those services are not necessary for many people who do not mind going to the grocery store, which is nearly everyone. I think home meal kit services are not unique enough or worthwhile enough to get for the common person, it's difficult to imagine how else to go about running those type of services but the current model isn't working. I believe a subscription model giving free meals out per month, at least one per week (differing cuisines and variety) would be good. People love Japan Crate, all those other "crate" services that give items per month for a subscription price. It's all random items and the model works.
I don't really care for them.
I have tried a home meal kit service. I found that I usually do better as I work on a recipe and 'perfect' it over time and I rarely get a recipe spot on the first time so it's challenging to pay so much and then sometimes the recipe doesn't come out as well as on the picture
Friend enjoy these services and report that the ingredients are high quality. I live in a rural area and have access to fresh produce and meat almost year round. I have recreated some of the recipes these services send along and all are well written and can easily be understood by novice cooks.
I did try Blue Apron and I loved it. The ingredients we're always fresh and high quality, the recipes simple, and the meals delicious. My only complaint is the expense. It isn't cheap, but all in all definitely worth it!
