We are currently staying at home and limited any unnecessary contact with others.
I myself haven't been out for a couple weeks but the other people in my home are still going into work.
Doing all those things. I have nowhere to be. My jobs at home
Flattening the curve has to happen to save lives
i need groceries still
I'M STILL WORKING OUT OF THE HOUSE, WASHING HANDS MORE, DISINFECTING SURFACES MORE. STAYING AWAY FROM GENERAL PUBLIC
I am working from home but still see some friends and family.
Going to work once or twice a week. I work alone in my office and need to water plants and other biological assys that cant be done at home. Go to the store if needed for food. That is it.
Working from home, but if I need groceries or want to get food from a restaurant I will go out and get it. So really somewhere between 3 and 4 on your scale.
4. I am very greatful that I am off work currently and can self isolate since I am 62. I am basically staying home and only going out to the grocery store etc. when I absolutely have to. I just stocked up on a couple weeks supply today so I can limit trips to the store. I am very afraid that is going to get way worse before it gets better.
trying to stay out of contact with others as much as possible. working from home and only trying to go out for groceries and other necessities.
We are trying to stay away from people as much as possible.
I am mostly staying home. I am working from home, not meeting up with friends or family members, and only going out for walks around my neighborhood, or to go to the grocery store.
I am more cautious but unfortunately I still have to report in to work. I am limiting my contact with people outside of that and not going out often. I don't want to be the cause of someone else's misery.
I am staying in as much as possible, only going to the store when I need necessities. When I do go out, I stay away from others and wipe literally everything down before I touch it. I also shower and wash my clothes as soon as I get home.
I am being very careful especially since I have grandparents and my wife is pregnant. I am following the guidelines provided from the upper authorities and being vigilante.
I would find it hard not to go out for supplies when absolutely necessary
Not working because I can't since schools are closed. Only going out once a day for a walk. Stocked up on food.
only going out for grocery once in week
Going out only needed and feel unhappy kids are not able to play outdoor..
I only leave to get groceries and make sure to use hand sanitizer as soon as i enter my vehicle and clean my debit card if it is handled by cashier. I also go in and get out and know what i am going to get before i go, i do not look around
I've been stocking up on food and only shopping once every other week. I don't go out anymore and avoid large gathering. But I still go into work. I also don't wear masks or gloves or anything like that.
Number 4. I'm working from home and here with my three kids and three dogs and my wife. We're only leaving the house to buy food and supplies.
I mean, I spend a lot of time home anyway, but I am more mindful of people passing as I walk thru stores. I am more aware of my surroundings and more aware of people. I have noticed people will see you on an isle and walk past and then come back when you leave it. I am not going anywhere for the sake of going anywhere anymore. I wash my hands longer than I used to and feel like I am always checking my temp and my sons temp. He is 3.
We are staying inside and quarantined for at least two weeks, and then will still be limited contact
Getting more paranoid by the day, may be at a 5 by the weekend :-)
Very limited going out. My husband is still working so we are practicing washing hands, germ x and keeping our home clean and lysoled with an air purifier. Kids are out of school and are not leaving the house unless in the case of an emergency. I am only going to the store for necessities and if possible sending my husband on his way home to pick those up as I am working from home.
WE ARE ONLY GOING OUT WHEN WE NEED GROCERIES.
I've only left my house to go to work and go back home. I have also left my house to walk my dogs and grocery shop when necessary.
We are absolutely taking this as seriously as we can. We go out to conduct mandatory work activities and also to grocery pick up service. We are not entering anyone elses homes nor allowing anyone else here. We are doing all we can to stop the spread of covid and pray for those affected.
Between 4 and 5. I will go outside in emergencies only, but I do not let anyone inside.
When I leave the house, it's to go to work and that's about it. I don't get close to anyone and large groups are effectively cancelled anyway thanks to the city government and directives from higher up. Not spreading anything around here for sure. I foresee getting infected any time soon.
My husband just starting working from home. I already work from home. We only leave the house if we have to go to the store.
Limited not that bad in my state yet.
I've had to cancel pretty much all in-person social gatherings, and have supplies to last me for two weeks (but no more than that, since I want to avoid the hoarding panic I've seen with other people). I am still going to work though, since I work as a nurse at a major hospital - which is good since I will certainly continue to have a job, but bad since I'll be at a relatively high risk for getting the coronavirus myself.
I'm trying to only go out when I absolutely need to (groceries or things of that nature). Even then, trying to make those trips as quick and as short as possible.
Going out only to grocery shop, limited contact with people, working from home and only seeing family on limited basis.
4 - I've only been in contact with 2 people in the past week - My girlfriend and roommate. I went to the store twice, but I remained away from people and tried to keep to myself. I would say 'Very Limited' is the right description.
im taking limited precautions like wash my hands avoid crowds , but im not going crazy like everyone else i know
We haven't left the house in almost a week.
My work is still open so I have to leave the house even though I'd rather not.
I think there is a risk involved.
I am staying home in my studio apartment in the Bronx. I have stocked up on supplies with 60 days of food and 30 days of water and only going to visit my parents (15 minute walk) and going to the supermarket every few days to buy some snacks which for dietary reasons (50 pounds overweight) I can’t store in bulk at home (no self control). I am constantly monitoring my taxable investment account and am making changes to recoup my losses in bank stocks and exploring using options to make the best of the situation and get a big return. I am also watching President Trump everyday giving a press conference where he is doing a great job at fighting the Chinese virus and preventing the destruction it has unleashed in Italy and Spain despite their socialist governments and medical systems.
Somewhere between 3 and 4.
I am staying home, only going out for things that are really needed and to walk the dogs. Otherwise staying in and relaxing. I hope if everyone does this that we can get back to normal sooner rather than later.
I would consider being at a 4 for everything but work. It is unavoidable and I have to go. But other than that, I've only been going out for food. I have not visited anyone.
Unfortunately, I can't work from home, but we were given extra paid days off. I'm using that be home with my children and we are not going out at all, aside from my backyard to get fresh air and run around.
I'm only going to to work. Have supplies for a month, maybe more.
Our ages, 57 and 55, put us in a vulnerable position but we live in a rural area, isolated somewhat. We go out for essentials weekly as needed and will do so until this passes. We have masks, disinfectant in multiple types, and wash our hands regularly while limiting exposure to the public. Be safe my friends.
We're trying to go less places and stay more at home. If any of us develop symptoms, we'll isolate completely.
I am somewhere between 3 and 4 but closer to 3. I am only going out as needed and not really leaving the house. I did have a very small get together with some friends because it was recently my brother's birthday. Other than that, I have been very cautious and careful.
I am still going to work three days a week, however I only have one coworker and our immuno-compromised boss is working from home. Other than that I dont go anywhere because nothing is open
I'm working from home, going to the grocery store when needed (but taking sanitary wipes when needed), and jogging around my neighborhood.
Still going out for essentials, but not going to any other public settings like restaurants or entertainment. Still seeing friends occasionally.
There's nothing else to do. I'll be glad when it's over. Stay safe and healthy!
Husband working from home. Older son back from college with distance learning. Younger is also doing distance learning through his high school. Ordering groceries online and picking them up.
My family and I are staying home. With school out, and the new information that it can effect adults aged 25 and older as well I would rather be safe than sorry.
I am staying away from people as much as possible. I'm an introvert so I am fine with this.
Mostly 5, full lock down, no one in or out. My family and I wash our hands frequently for 20 seconds or longer. We don't go anywhere at this point because my son is out of school and both my husband and myself are working from home right now. We have all of the supplies that we need so there's no need to go to stores. We don't see friends or neighbors. We use hand sanitizer as needed.
I still have to come into work. I still need fresh food.
It only takes one mistake, one unguarded interaction with a carrier to have to face a chance of death. Or, to pass that chance of death on to a loved one or another person. It's Not Worth It. So I'm staying very guarded.
MOST CLOSELY FOLLOWING 3, ONLY GOING OUT FORGROCERIES OR MEDICINES.
I am working from home as much as possible. I'm a social worker and only go in to give clients emergency food however we've changed the procedure so client's dont even come into the building. They park outside and I bring food out and put in their car. I went shopping for groceries on March 13 but have not gotten any more food since then. I am not seeing clients. I have gotten starbucks drinks at the drive through and try to avoid as much contact with the person at the drivethrough (they do the same). Buying anything I want online.
I have not left home since Sunday morning, but if I need to get groceries at some point, I will do so. If family needs assistance, I will do so cautiously and maximize safety for everyone.
We are doing everything we can to stay indoors. We have stocked up on supplies, and are now riding it out.
4 - Very limited.
I am being more cautious due to pre existing condition and my mother having COPD. This could be very bad for my mother of she contracted this virus.
I have been taking extra precautions currently because I want to be as cooperative in trying to slow the curve of COVID in affecting my community.
I've been inside for 3 days so far and already have enough supplies to last a month.
I don't go too many places. I go for walks with my son. I have only been to one store this week. I limit my time with my mother. We see one or two friends of my son's.
Social distancing is my middle name so it is life as usual for me really.
I am only going out to the supermarket.
I am living my normal life. Just washing my hands accordingly.
I am immuno suppressed so I am not leaving my house or allowing anyone in.
While I think people should be cautious of the virus, I think the overall risks are greatly being overblown. I wash my hands, am working from home, and avoid necessary travel, but I would still interact with people as needed.
My work has not closed down so I have no choice but to go out.
I mainly just am going to work or the store when needed other then that staying in
I remain at home (working from there). We will only go out to get groceries, or to a place with no people (a park, if it's empty). We'll do that for the next 2 weeks.
I only go for walks with my son to break up the time spent at home, and I only go to stores when I absolutely need to.
I still have to go to work, but after i just go home. only other place i go is grocery store.
I'm a healthcare worker so I still have to go to work.
I don't go outside
I'm working from home, but will venture out when I need something from the grocery store. I have gone to get something to eat or drink at places that I know are still open, but not making it public that they are still open. Trying to keep a distance when out in public and washing hands, etc... when I get back from being out of the house.
Five, full lock down. I have cancer so my immune is lowered. My son has breathing issues and another with asthma. Luckily I also have 8 kids so I stockpile and coupon to survive. So we pretty much can stay inside for about a month before we will start to have a need to go to the store. I make my own ammo in house. I have 3 freezers of meat and a full dry storage pantry stocked to the brim. Milk will run out in about 10 days and I will then use dry milk. I do not want to get sick there is not a single other person to care for my kids. I will do everything in my power to keep us from getting this.
I have stepped out only for essentials, but have spent time with a small number of people who I was exposed to already.
Staying home as much as possible and only going out when necessary for food or important errands or appointments.
Coronavirus is not floating in the air or in the water and there is food. So people are panicking and exposing themselves far more than is necessary going out to get things they don't need. I go out when it is necessary and talk to people online and by phone/text.
I have to work, but we're only going out for work and to get necessities.
I am between a 3 and 4. I am keeping social distance from friends and family when I do see them. I work retail so still have to work but am washing my hands nonstop.
I am getting ready for full-lockdown but currently still going out when absolutely necessary.
I'm avoiding any and everything unnecessary, but I'm still willing to work and go to the store, although with frequent hand washing.
3 - Going out as needed, mostly working from home, still seeing friends and family.
I only go out when it is completely necessary such as the grocery store to get food otherwise I'm staying at home
I only go out to get food and groceries for my family or to drop off mail I need to send at the post office drive through mail box.
I still go out although only for food and to go to the post office to mail packages. I think America may be over reacting. Although in the suburbs Ii was told by family members that public transit bus driver workers were wearing gloves and masks.
i haven't left the house in 5 days, My husbands job is about to close so we will be going out Monday for one final grocery shop and then were locking ourselves in the house until its open again.
Trying not to go out only for groceries and appointments
i am trying to social distance as much as possible. i do work retail and that has me worried so i would say i m a #4
After talking to my mom in France earlier today, I go for 4 and if everyone would do the same number 5 may be avoided
I picked 3 because I have to go out for dialysis 3 days a week I only see family and friends very rarely - maybe once a week.
