Which title font do you prefer for the book cover of a dark fantasy novel?
Option B won this Ranked poll with a final tally of 63 votes after 2 rounds of votes counting.
In a Ranked poll, respondents rank every option in order of preference. For example, when you test 6 options, each respondent orders their choices from first to sixth place.
PickFu requires a majority to win a Ranked poll. A majority winner differs from a plurality winner. A majority winner earns over 50% of the votes, whereas a plurality winner earns the most votes, regardless of winning percentage.
If an option does not earn a majority of votes, PickFu eliminates the option with the lowest number of votes. The votes from the eliminated option are reassigned based on each respondent’s next choice. This process continues in rounds until a majority winner emerges.
Scores reflect the percentage of total votes an option receives during the vote counting and indicate the relative preference of the respondents. If there is no majority winner, look to the scores to see how the options fared relative to one another.

I think the color scheme matches well with the theme of the book and the impact of the text draws my eyes
Out of these I prefer A the best. I think it fits with the theme the most and really makes the cover pop.
A stands out the best to me. I like the neat, bold, silvery font.
The color and placement of Option A makes me most interested in reading this book, it looks the most professional
The title feels more powerful at the bottom of the book with the bolder font used in option A and B. I like the color of the font in option A more though. It gives off the dark fantasy vibe more as it’s a darker and more muted color like darkness and night.
A the letters pop out more it is eye catching it make you stop and check it out
I like the title at the bottom. Plus I like the silver with lettering of the title. Overall I find it more appealing.
I like the silver into black gradient as it stands out more against the art seen on the cover. I also think this location of the font looks much better than having it in the middle.
I like the text design in Options A & B. I think they match the character and the dramatic illustration. I do like the placement of the text in Option C, and I do prefer lighter colors for the lettering so that it pops against the clouds and fire in the background.
I prefer the silver coloration and stronger font of A. I think both together has the best contrast with the image behind it, and makes it the easiest to read.
i prefer the color scheme of the font used for the title of the book.My second choice still uses a font i like.MY third pick uses a font that i like but the virant color choice does not reflect well with the sense of mystery that the book is trying to potray,
I like this one the best because the font and color scheme goes best with this genre and stands out the most amongst the others.
I chose book B over books A and C simply so to the placement of the text on the cover. By placing it at the bottom that amazing cover art is emphasized. It's great. A doesn't work at all while C has added odd colors to the text.
Ist book cover stands out but is not overpowering and makes you want to pick it up to see more about story. 2nd Color stands out and third is small lettering
I like the font of the second one better, but I like the placing of the title on the bottom of the first one. The third one just doesn’t have a good font; it looks old and kinda out of place on the cover.
I think the silver of A and the gold of B in the title REALLY makes it pop...whereas C looks like generic text.
I love the bold silver lettering. It grabs your attention and draws you in. It makes me want to know more about the book and the characters involved.
I chose the font I liked the most because it really goes well with the color scheme of the cover. It doesn't take away from the picture and looks like it's part of the world that it is the face of. The second choice also has a really good color scheme that goes with the rest of the cover. The font stands out and the color of the font is very complimentary to the background and it's colors. It stands out but also doesn't take over the cover, similar to the first choice. The third choice just doesn't go with the cover at all or the background picture. The font doesn't quite fit in terms of the style theme, which is dark and malicious. The third font looks more like it should be for something like Twilight. The title of the third book also covers the middle of the picture, making the title the main aspect of the cover, not the entirety of it. It takes away from wondering what the background is about.
I picked the way I did based on how well I can read the book title i like the bold lettering
I like the font and color in A the best and it goes well with the background. In letter C, some of the writing is too small and hard to read. In letter B, the title in flames blends too much with the background.

I prefer B because the gold lettering stands out to me more and I think fits the best for a fantasy book.
1st and 2nd choice fonts look the same, the red inside the characters looks better
I prefer option B, because I like the title font being orange/red which matches the background of flames and fire of the book cover and compliments the entirety of the cover as a whole with the design and color choice of the font used. Option A as second because the Silver/Gray font color is pretty nice but not as appealing as option B, and option C as last because the font is smaller, and the positioning of the font is not as preferred.
Option B is personally more appealing to me aesthetically.
C is last, it really gets lost in the imagine. A is ok but not as attention catching and bright as B, which is my favorite. It gets me excited about the book.
The title really stands out and grabs my full attention.
The heavy, embossed looking fonts in B and A are my favorite two out of the three. It's very striking and very hard to miss. Out of those two I'd narrow my top down to B. I like the brazen sort of look to the color of the font in this one, which I find fitting since it's also strongly associated with evil, as this dude certainly is, and so this visual supports the art and the book's presumed theme.
I think B and A's bold and slightly cheesy font works better than C here.
The title of the book is suppose to stand out from the rest of the information on the cover page. You want something big and bold that will stand out. Except you don’t want the white one in the middle of the cover page. You would be better off with it on the bottom if your going to go white.
I like the way the gold letters work with the flame colors from the image.
I think the title at the bottom looks the best and the gold color stands out against the red and black of the character.
I think the bold sharp edges, 3d effect and the fire colored font is perfect for this kind of novel.
At first glance, I liked all three covers but after studying them a bit closer, Option B was my favorite. The red/orange letter for the title "Malfus" is what did it for me. The title stands out and brings out the color of the robe and fire in the background. Although, the title location blurs the skeletons on the ground, the main theme is still there with the skeleton on his hand.
I think the gold text is a bit more eye-catching and matches better with the art. I like the bolder font of B and A better than the kind of whispy and harder to read version in C, as well.
Option B - The title font of the book in this option B looks very stylish and fiery.
The gold, firy font really pulls in the imagination and makes me want to know more.
I like the large 3-d font the best with the gold color winning out over the silver font.
I think B stands out more than the other two, and looks better as well.
I think the selecion B is the best one as it's the best looking cover and gets my attention.
The bold print catches your attention. The gold color looks like it reflect the fire a little and matches with the fire.
The option I close has the font color and design that stands out the most. It grabs my attention and I would stop to look at it.
I like the cover of A best of all. It really stands out and catches the eye.
The bold lettering, it just jumps out at me when I look at it
I like you can see the character without the title being the focal point. . And the lettering in gold stands out and is eye catching.
i chose b because i like the way they put the title closer to the bottom then i chose a and c because i did not like the way the titles were put together with the pictures
More visual appealing, gets my attention better than the others. B seems to be a more descriptive cover than the others, more vibrant
I selected B as my first choice because The front is bold and every letter of this front is very clear to read. The color of the front is just perfect for the cover
I liked B because the yellow lettering was better
I prefer choice B because it stands out like crazy! The font done in an orange type blaze is strong and implies hell and evil.
The image B has a bold font that makes a stronger impression than the other two fonts.
I like this as mmy first choice because the letters look like they are on fire which makes it more ominous
I can see it better. It looks more profound. The second one looks good, but is not as vibrant.
I like my first choice due to the graphics and colors. It makes it easier to read the title.
THIS FONT WAS EASY TO READ AND IT WAS NICE AND CLEAR ON THE FRONT OF THE BOOK. THERE WAS NO MISUNDERSTANDING IN WHAT THE TITLE WAS. IT WAS WELL WRITTEN ON THE FRONT SO IT WAS EASY TO SEE AND TO READ
I like the B because I like the rose gold coloring and it sort of stands out . C is next because the font is unique. A because the silver blends into the cover page.
the gold title really makes the book stand out.it would be easier to see than other book on the shelf.
Visually ranked from my personal preference. Fonts make a huge difference in visual attention. The orange made my 1st ranked one pop alot visually.
I like the bold and firey look of my first choice, stands out well..and kind of blends in to the fire on the cover
I choose this option because I like how quickly it grabbed my attention, the details of the picture on the cover, I like how the title stands out, like the coloring of title and description
The one I chose had the boldest cover with brighter colors that somehow makes it seem more interesting
This is all about redability. The gold stands out more and is more readable. The font in C is the least readable.
I choose B a my first choice because I like the graphic design. It looks more of a midevil type of story
The 1st one the color of the lettering shows up better. The 2nd choice the flames catch your attention. The 3rd choice the bold silver letters catch your eye.
The orange color of the title makes it look more dark. It has a more demonic like look to it. The other two seem more nice. My first choice makes it look like its on fire like it comes from the underworld.
its very detailed and really look like a quality book. I also like the design and the way the letters are written. to me this would be the ideal design for a scary novel as such
The first one is dark and gothic, stands out so much more. Looks more interesting, second not so much, third ok.
First choice the letters are lit like the color of the fire more attractive, second choice is ok looks like a regularly book cover and the third choice looks plain lettering is real small but you have more of a visual in the background

I'm a big fan of C. I like having the title centered on the cover, and that seems to be more of a trend lately. I don't dislike A, but that's a bit more traditional. placement. My only gripe with B is that the font coloring makes it feel a lot like "Warcraft" style colors and font.
I prefer option C because I like how the title is centered it makes it more appealing and would make me want to buy it more.
I like C, the thin lines and and curvy body of the lettering matches the gothic design of the cover.
O feel like options A and B are done a lot as far as the title looks and placement. I like C the best with the fire in the background, and the title in a more unexpected place and font.
This one is not as bold. The others are a bit obnoxious and too loud.
I picked C first, the center of the image doesn't have a lot going on so having the text there doesn't take away from the picture, and having the text at the bottom hides some of the color of the fire and some of the details. Of the two choices with text at the bottom, I chose B because I liked the color as opposed to the duller gray of A. I would go with C and make the text the color of B.
I liked the placement of the text for option C the most. Option B, I liked the gold color for the text. It just pops more than option A.
C has a very elegant font that is still thick enough to read from a distance. C and A are similar, but I prefer the silver color as it stands out more and does not blend in with the fire
I think the centralized text on the book cover is phenomenal. I would be super excited to have this myself as a book to read. The color palette of the title and the text placement is just perfect. I love everything about it.
I think C has the most intriguing cover. I also prefer the font most in C
I think it looks best centered like in C. For B and A i think it looks better with Bs color
I like C the best because the horns on the letters remind me of the devil. I liked B next because the font color matches the rest of the design.
I like it in the middle and I prefer the font better in that one
I think the text design at the bottom of the book in choices C and A are a bit too distracting, so I prefer choice C which blends in more.
The font used here is a lot more whimsical and unique compared to me than the other options. However, I am not a fan of the tiny text in 'book one: The damned and the dead"
I prefer option C's font because it is very unique and I feel like it fits the necromance theme of the book better than the other two choices.
I like option C because the text font isn't too distracting from the actual artwork on the cover.
c i feel the font and placement is the best on this option. it looks more like it suits the genre. the other options feel a bit too loud and low. they take away from the image behind it so it is hard to notice. it also hides an important part of the back ground that when seen makes the story seem more interesting.
I prefer C because the fire around the character is more eye catching.
I like the font and it seems very unique, the other ones seem out of place and cartoonish.
I liked the font the best in the one I selected and the fact the color is the silver not gold. I think the gold font is just too much for everything else going on, and that is why I selected the 2nd one i did as well because the fonts on two were the same just different colors.
I chose c for first because I liked the presence of more fire in the picture. I picked b for number two because I like the fire on top of the pillars and the name stood out from the color of fire. I picked a for third cuz it was least interesting to me.
The first one just seems more horror like as a font design.
I chose c as my first choice because the book cover pops out more too me. Option b because it has a little bit of details to the cover. Option c is just there with the cover and doesnt add much
I like the fire in option C best I think it makes the book more readable and enjoyable by having that in the background of the cover page I chose B Second because I liked the bright colors and that one and I choose A as my least favorite because I wasn’t very interested in the cover
I chose option c over option a and option b because it has a cleaner look with a much better looking font and it is easily legible and easy to read. It makes me want to read the book even more.
"A" has a lot of color and style. "B" has more colorful design and excitement than C. "C" is boring. They all have the same look on the book cover, but A and B have added a little excitement and flare, while C is boring.
I picked C as my favorite. I like the use of the fire and flames on the cover. Makes it look more mysterious. I like B second because I like the way Malfus is written. A is my 3rd favorite, I just don't like it as well.
I chose option c because I thought the fire in the background looked really cool made the book look more unique. I chose the next option because I thought the silver lettering looked nice made it stand out. Then the it was basically a process of elimination.
Option C was an easy first choice. It was the cleanest and easiest to read of all the cover text designs. There's a LOT going on in those other two and they felt cheap by comparison.
I belive the title should call the attention of the audience and also the font should look good with it. With this in mind I like better the first choice because it have a great font and the title is in a place where the eye is always drawn to.
While the background is basically identical on my selection for second and third, those fonts are nearly identical, with color being the main difference. My first choice of font has a more wispy style to it, giving it an air of mystery.
I like the first one better because the text is smaller and in the center. I like the color font better in the second one than in the third.
