A science fiction book series has two main characters that are opposites. Rank the duos below indicating how likely each would make you want to read the books from the top (most likely) to bottom (least likely).
Option H won this Ranked poll with a final tally of 27 votes after 7 rounds of votes counting.
In a Ranked poll, respondents rank every option in order of preference. For example, when you test 6 options, each respondent orders their choices from first to sixth place.
PickFu requires a majority to win a Ranked poll. A majority winner differs from a plurality winner. A majority winner earns over 50% of the votes, whereas a plurality winner earns the most votes, regardless of winning percentage.
If an option does not earn a majority of votes, PickFu eliminates the option with the lowest number of votes. The votes from the eliminated option are reassigned based on each respondent’s next choice. This process continues in rounds until a majority winner emerges.
Scores reflect the percentage of total votes an option receives during the vote counting and indicate the relative preference of the respondents. If there is no majority winner, look to the scores to see how the options fared relative to one another.

I love this movie. It is a really good and entertaining one. I like the way they play off each other. I would definitely read the book. I also like the mystery of Sherlock Holmes so I would consider it
I selected based on the character names I recognized and what I know of their relationships and personalities as already known. Last three choices never heard of

I chose option B because i love rick and morty!
B is first since I really like Rick and Morty and they really are opposites. C with Arthur and Ford are next. Then H with Kirk and Spock with their differences in logic, although sometimes they are similar. F would work although I don't recall them being all that different. E, Holmes and Watson, don't seem all that different either. G are different in species, so I guess that counts. As for A and D, I don't know who they are.
Not sure how a Rick and Morty pair would work out, but would love to see it.
I recognize all of the names in these options, and I am somewhat familiar with the source material for all of them, though I am left wondering if the novels in question will actually be science-fiction for all of them. For example, does this mean that the stars of "Lethal Weapon" will be involved in some kind of sci-fi adventure? At any rate, whether I imagine that the books will be sci-fi or not, my rankings would not really change. B's Rick and Morty would be the most appealing to me, because I love the rich writing of the animated series, but sometimes find it so fast paced that I can't really absorb the deep layers of character development, so a longer, slower novel would be ideal. Likewise, Mal and Wash from "Firefly" had wonderful chemistry together on the tv series (the episode "War Stories" comes to mind immediately), and since that series was cancelled by the network before its story could really get going, a follow-up novel would be very appealing to me. From there, Sherlock and Watson seems like a natural fit for a novel, since their stories are literary at heart, and even in a far-fetched sci-fi adventure, they would be fun to read about. I round out the top half with Arthur Dent and Ford Prefect, since they are the stars of my personal favorite novel, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Even though no one could really duplicate the style of the late Douglas Adams, I would love to see a well-written tribute novel that continues in that universe. In the bottom half, both Star Wars and Star Trek are deep enough in lore to give plenty of opportunity for new follow-up novels, so I rank G and H next, with G taking a slight edge simply because I am more familiar with Star Wars. I rank A and F last, though, because I don't feel that the rapport between the stars of Lethal Weapon would translate well into the written word, as it was the incomparable acting of Gibson and Glover that really brought them to life. Butch and Sundance were wonderful characters, but I rank F last because I don't really find western stories to be all that appealing, even if one mixes in the science-fiction elements.
Rick and Morty seem like the best candidates for this book. I'd be interested.
I enjoy the franchises my top picks came out of. So I would be interested in those properties.
Option B is the only duo I'm familiar with and I enjoy that show
I chose the order in which the premises where the main character being opposites would appeal to me in the order that I like the idea. This is because the main characters tend to be very synergistics so seeing them being opposites is interesting based on who it is (based on my preference).
I like B the best because it sounds more entertaining than the other choices based on the characters from their television show.

Wow, this is hard, but the ones near the top of the list are just more blatantly different.
I prefer the sci-fi duos of Options C and H. Option E is a classic pairing.
I think C would be the most fun for a sci-fi series
I ranked them by my familiarity and how much I like the media they're from, C is books I've read all of multiple times and I've watched most of the movies in G and all the episodes in B multiple times as well.

I'm not familiar with the last few, so you can disregard them. That said, 'Brownshirts!' I just finished watching an interview with Nathan Fillion and would lover to hear more Firefly.
Firefly is my favorite so I chose D.
Firefly is my absolute favorite show and I truly miss the characters. The other pairings are fun and exciting, just not as exciting as option D. And options A and C are not very fun, I don't care to spend much time with these characters.
Here is my ranking of the 8 options : 1-Option D : both names seem to me to be character names with potential.2-Option B : His two names give le the impression that they are great researchers.3-Option E : the two names don't convince me4-Option F : the two names dont' convince me5-Option H : the two names don't convince me6-Option C : the two names don't convince me7-Option G : the two names don't convince me8-Option A : the two names don't convince me
My top favorite would be D's pairing, since I am a huge fan of Firefly, Serenity, and anything else in that fictional universe. These two also made a good duo even aside from the benefit of setting going with it. The one I'd be least interested in is B's pairing, Rick and Morty. I never cared for the series or anything about it.

E, H, and G are the only ones I would have any interest in.
E is my favorite, I find Holmes and Watson to be a very interesting pair, plus I love detective stories a lot! I don't really like the other pairings.
I feel that there is historical precedent for writing about E and F, and you could adapt those characters to a variety of settings. As long as it is with the blessing of the creators, I think B is fine. You might be able to do something with C, but it might be awkward since the author is dead and beloved. G and H are very corporate and there are already tons of pieces of fiction involving them. I do not actually recognize the duos in A and D.
Options E, G, H, and B are all mainstream characters that nearly everyone knows about and would make more sense to.
I like a good mystery novel.
My favorite two characters from the options are Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson. These characters would make me want to read the series the most because I have always found them to be fascinating and humorous characters. I also wonder if them being the characters would mean that there would be an element of mystery in the series, which I would really enjoy.
Options E/B/H/G sound the most interesting and entertaining to me for main characters that I would be willing to read POV's from. I like and know enough about these characters that I would probably find enough enjoyment in reading a series with them staring in. The other options I either don't like them enough or don't know the characters that well to find entertainment in them.
I chose Sherlock Holmes and Watson as my fist choice because I enjoy their interactions and banter. The rest, I either have never heard of, or don't know anything about, and just ranked based on how appealing I found the names.
I ranked my choices of which duo would make me most likely to read the book in the order of which duos I liked the best as well as the ones that I recognized as a few of these I did not recognize the names at all, the one I recognize the most and feel would be the best is E that I chose as my first option.
I ranked by how interested I am in reading about the duo choices.
Sherlock and Watson are so classic that I would be super interested if they were leading the way. I would be all the way in on something like this. I love the different aspects they could bring to it for sure!

F to me sounds like the most appealing duo that would draw my interest the most.
The western stuff with butch cassidy would make me most want to read a book with them as a duo, that kind of theme would jump out to me more than the sci fi stuff
I previously saw and liked the Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid movie. I would love to see a sequel with science fiction storyline of this movie.

I liked choice G since anything containing Star wars grabs my interest right away and sounds the most appealing
Option G resonates the most with me as I am a big fan of that series and they're both iconic characters
Sci-fi is my favorite. So this would be my choice.
I would go with Han Solo and Chewbacca. I feel there could be some great spin-offs with that duo. I feel it would also be the most popular.
G: They're familiar characters most ppl would know, and they have a lot f backstory that can be dove into if desired.H: Similar to the previous one, just a different franchise.B: Chaos incarnate, but some wacky science stuff thrown in, so it should be interestingA: Classic Lethal Weapon, but idk how it'd work for science fictionE: Sounds like more a mystery, which could be hit or miss depending on how it's executedF: Western style, which can be overdone, especially nowadaysC & D: I have no idea who these people are even though they sound vaguely familiar.
Who doesn't love Han Solo and Chewbacca. They are lovable and fun

I ranked these based on how much I liked the characters and how important they are as icons in my life.
These are all great, but the Star Trek references really resonate with me.
Options H, E and F would all be interesting pairings of characters within a Science Fiction book. Options F, B and C would only be somewhat interesting to me. Options G, D and A would not be of interest and/or I am not familiar with these characters.
I like Kirk and Spock the most because they are some of the most well-known science fiction characters of all time, and I like the way they balance each other out (Spock with logic and Kirk with a more headstrong attitude). Holmes and Watson are also compelling because Holmes's cleverness fits in well with Watson's more humble methods, and I'd like to see them in a science fiction story, honestly. Riggs and Murtaugh sounds interesting, as the Lethal Weapon duo, but I'm not sure about them in a sci-fi story. I'd put Malcolm Reynolds and Wash and Ford Prefect and Arthur Dent last because I don't recognize those characters at all.
I picked Option H first because the original Star Trek is my favorite and I love those characters. Sherlock Holmes is obviously the most literary but those books are already written, still it qualifies for second. Han and Chewbacca make an easy third, and from there I rank them in order of preference.
I ranked these based on my personal preferences for the franchises. Everyone will have different opinions
h e d and b are characters i am familiar with and feel like i would enjoy any story about them. they feel more classic than the other options which feel a bit outdated to me
Kirk and Spock is classic and sparks a lot of interest. The series would be a great way to catch up with the characters.
I think Kirk and Spock are the most interesting characters and they interact in a fun way as well.
Out of all the options shown here I could not think if two characters that are less alike each other and nearly polar opposites in how they think and act
