Do you appreciate plant based meat substitutes on restaurant menus, such as Impossible Meat?
36 Responses to Option A
impossible has a great taste, they look just like meat and is a very healthy alternative
I think having a variety when someone looks at a menu is a good thing.
While I do not eat those products myself, I appreciate that they are on the menus to accommodate those who do eat it.
Yes. I often try meat substitutes at home and would even order them when I go out if only the prices were more reasonable.
Yes, always. When I go to places that don't have vegetarian options I get frustrated.
My daughter is a vegan and I sometimes chose to eat the plant based version of meat too. I love seeing this choice on restaurant menus and I would specifically chose a restaurant if I new that it would have plant based options
While I do not order the plant based meat substitutes, I do appreciate them. There are a lot of people that do not believe in eating meat. And like all people, they deserve a food option that follows that preference.
I have had a few plant-based meat options, like the fake sausage sandwich at Dunkin. It was pretty good. I don’t eat red meat, so it’s a nice option! I also had some good plant-based meat tacos recently
I would like to have a choice of a meat substitute product.
I love plant based options -if a restaurant caters to every type of eater, that makes the restaurant better in my opinion. It is important that a restaurant has more options than a salad for vegetarians and vegans.
I follow a plant-based diet and am often too lazy to cook. I greatly appreciate it!
I don't typically get them; although, I have at times when they've had specials. Regardless, I appreciate the effort of restaurants to be more inclusive (and more sustainable). I'm honestly surprised that there are fast food chains that don't have the option yet.
yes, having an option is good. you don't have to eat it if you don't like it
I would say yes, because it gives customers more option to choose from. I personally eat products that are plant based meat substitutes. To be honest, it taste good and healthy, relative to what other people say.
It gives a more diverse set of food options.
It is nice to have multiple options for everyone. So yes, I would appreciate it.
I would like to have the option of ordering
it is increasingly clear that plant meat maybe better for the environment and that it will taste better soon
I like having the option to pick these however they tend to be more expensive than regular meat
It is not something I would ever eat, but, yes, I certainly appreciate it for those who would like to. It's always good to have options.
I'm a vegetarian (that eats vegan when I can) and I think that the more vegetarian and vegan options, the better! Vegetarian and vegan options are more humane and better for the environment and people's health
i appreciate that they are offering it to include people, but i do not often order it for myself
I like that people have the option to eat those even if I don't eat them myself
Yes! I think it is a good thing to give customers more vegetarian options on menus. I think that it gives them a feeling of the restaurant caring about more than just its profits, but for the environment as a whole. Giving customers more choices is always a good thing and expanding menus to include the newest innovations in food to me is a positive. I don't see anything wrong or bad about including meatless based options like the impossible burger for example.
I think it gives more options. You can enjoy something that tastes like meat without feeling guilty about eating meat
Actually I do! I was skeptical about the "Impossible Whopper" when I got it, but it actually tastes pretty decent.
While I'm not a fan of the taste of Impossible meat myself, I think it's good to have a meat alternative available. We should not be so reliant on meat and I like that there are companies that are coming out with alternatives to beef and chicken.
I think it is a nice option to have. More and more people are trying to eat less meat and that option is helpful. Plus it is basically swapping a meat patty for a veggie one so it is not like you are changing a lot to the menu.
I dont eat them myself but like that they are available for others
I try to not eat much meat because it is bad for the environment and cruel to animals. My son is vegan so I always order vegetarian when he is around. I like meat free burgers and enjoy eating them too
Sometimes I would like a meatless burger as a alternative choice. I eat meat, but if I'm watching calories, a healthy alternative is very welcome. The choice also brings in more customers that may have felt the restaurant has no items for their diet.
Yes, but I’m pescatarian and occasionally use meat substitutes. I don’t know how carnivores night feel.
I think it is a wonderful and revolutionary idea, it’s healthier, better for the environment and more economical.
I might not choose plant based options often but I do appreciate them being on a menu. I hunt, butcher and eat meat but I do like personally having an option if I do not feel like contributing to environmental issues from eating meat on a particular day. I do not find that in most circumstances a meat substitute ends up forcing an item to be removed from a menu in the way some purely vegetarian options have effected some of my favorite restaurants. I also just like having options for people that choose to never eat meat.
I think that it is great to give people more options as well as giving people with dietary restrictions a wider range of menu choices.
I am trying to eat with better nutrition and these plant based burgers taste very good.

I am not vegetarian or vegan, so I personally don't appreciate those offerings, as they don't apply to me. I'm sure that someone who is looking for those options would greatly appreciate there being such.
I don't appreciate because I don't eat any of the plant based substitutions. Many do though
I guess for vegans and vegetarians that's great, but I personally don't eat them. I personally don't like burgers in general, just a texture thing. I don't know what other avenues impossible meats really come in aside from the burger items.
I personally don't like it as I rather have the real meat than just imitation.
So far I have not had a pleasant experience with these. I've tried some of the fast food ones, like Burger King and Kentucky Fried Chicken, and they tasted slightly odd, but not too bad. The taste was very similar to meat, however the next day my stomach wasn't too pleased and perhaps the human body needs to adjust to it slowly. So far I am not a fan, but I'm always willing to try.
Not at all they taste nasty
I like real meat, not that fake made up meat. I have had plant based before and it is awful tasting. I really don't understand how anyone like that plant based meat, it is gross, so I can't really appreciate anything that plant based.
i mean sure i appreciate them, but i dont buy them or seek them out, so i am really indifferent.
I personally don't appreciate plant-based meat substitutes at restaurants because I don't really eat them. I have occasionally eaten them at home but really don't think I would ever get one at a restaurant. Since it doesn't apply to me I don't really care one way or another about them having those options. I guess it is nice that they have that option for people who don't eat meat, but it doesn't impact me.
I have no idea what is in plant-based meat or how it is manufactured, I don't know if it is safe. Real meat has protein.
No, I don't eat a plant based diet and I have never tried any meat alternatives. My niece is a vegetarian so it might be nice if I was dining with her, but as for myself, it wouldn't matter because I eat a gluten free diet not meat free.
B I WORRY ABOUT THE FAT THAT IS ADDED TO MAKE IT CLOSER TO MEAT. I DIDN'T LIKE THE TASTE
I believe that if you are a vegetarian, you don’t have to pretend a meat lover.
I am skeptical of things like impossible meat. I don't really know what it is made of so it is impossible to know if it is healthy, unhealthy, or something in between .
