Which book would you buy when searching for a book about anger management as a parent?
Option A won this Ranked poll with a final tally of 27 votes after 7 rounds of votes counting.
In a Ranked poll, respondents rank every option in order of preference. For example, when you test 6 options, each respondent orders their choices from first to sixth place.
PickFu requires a majority to win a Ranked poll. A majority winner differs from a plurality winner. A majority winner earns over 50% of the votes, whereas a plurality winner earns the most votes, regardless of winning percentage.
If an option does not earn a majority of votes, PickFu eliminates the option with the lowest number of votes. The votes from the eliminated option are reassigned based on each respondent’s next choice. This process continues in rounds until a majority winner emerges.
Scores reflect the percentage of total votes an option receives during the vote counting and indicate the relative preference of the respondents. If there is no majority winner, look to the scores to see how the options fared relative to one another.

I liked choice A since the cover is focused and grabs my interest with the simple art style and is more appealing.
The cover for Option A is simple colors, clever design, and sends a clear message of hope. This book would not be scary to see if left around the house like Options C and B. Option A is the one that gets my attention and interest.
Upbeat depiction with a clear transformation in option a
I don't like G because the parents arguing on the cover is unattractive. I like A because the design is simple and eye catching and I like seeing the frowns turned to a happy sun.
I definitely like how A and E show both an angry side and a happy side because they make it seem like the book will actually help you. I don't like how most of the others only focus on the anger side of the problem with their imagery.
I like the options where there is something shown with the faces versus something more generic. It looks more professional and also helps highlight the book topic being anger management. I think effectively once I know the book topic is good I will not be too picky on the look of the cover.
Looks the most professional suggesting it is at least somewhat legitimate
I chose option A first because it stood out the most to me. I liked that the cover was split down the middle and the colors as well.
5 Responses to Option B
I like the anger meter in choice B. I think that does a good job of capturing what this book is about and it is something that kids will understand
Option "B": In order of preference, I found this one the better more representative graphic to support the book contents comparatively; this is relatable, attention-getting, and visually appealing.
The red cover is attention grabbing and symbolizes anger more appropriately. I also like the picture of the meter because I would hope the book will help me to better read and gage my child’s anger.
The use of red color in my top choice is energetic and caught my attention. The bomb in my second choice is also striking for sure!
I chose B because I think the red cover compliments the title of the book.
2 Responses to Option C
I ranked them this way based on which design and color scheme I found to be the most eye-catching and appealing.
I did like a few of the designs but C with the orange stood out for me a bit more. I also feel that orange isn't a color that is used currently that much in books so it may stand out in a crowd.
4 Responses to Option D
I like the more serious tone as the subject is serious The book look more adultish and can be taken more seriously. The animated hot dog looked like it was for kids
I like the choices with smiley or frowning facings the best. The choices with people yelling stresses me out.
I like otpion d subtle yet effective, option g and h are both good choices as well. Option A, F and E hit the title home, option b and c are my least favorite
I want a book cover that is pleasing enough on the outside for me to pick it up and read about it before buying it. Option D does that for me.
7 Responses to Option E
I like Options E & B the most. The book covers are both presented in a calm manner and seem measured and effective. Options H & A are also quite nice and has a simplicity that's pleasing. The remaining options are perfectly fine but not as eye catching and seem to be overly dramatic or downright dull.
I like the inclusion of the sad face to a happy face
I prefer option E' because the cover looks very attractive and interesting.
I would buy Option E. This book cover design looks attractive and best suitable for this anger management as a parent which intend my attention with its appearance when compared to others.
The color scheme of E D and F caught my eye first. They have a good contrast between cover color and font color which draws me in
The color combination and design on the cover in Option E are the most appealing to me. I especially like the use of alternating red colors for the title, image of the sad face, and author's name. This really stands out and grabs my attention in a good way. Next, the yellow and blue color combination appeals to me in Option F. My least favorite is Option A, because while the division of colors is interesting, the colors don't stand out and grab my attention like they do in the other options.
I like this one and how it stands out t me it has a really better look to it and I like the colors and the design that it has going on the front
3 Responses to Option F
I like option F the best because I like the three images showing the different stages of anger to happiness coming out of the top of the heads.
I chose option F first because it looks like a book that could teach me about anger without judging or making me feel bad about myself. Options A, E, B, and D also seem like good options that would not make me feel worse about having an anger issue. I feel that H and G are images that would make me feel judged about yelling in front of or at my child. If I were having issues controlling my anger, these images would not make me feel good and thus I would not feel good reading them. Finally, I would not like option C because a bomb would make me feel like my anger issues aren't controllable.
i prefer choice f the most. it is simple and to the point, without the guilt of certain images.
13 Responses to Option G
I like option G because of the image of the parents scolding their child which gives an idea of what is being handled in the book. Option A is a bit boring nd almost looks like a children's book.
g because it seems like it will address the anger between the parents and the child caught in the middle.
I simply selected in order of the covers that I felt were both eye catching, but also encapsulate the meaning or intention of the book.
G best represents angry parents and how it can affect children.
I picked G because the illustration matches the subject matter the best.
I picked G first because it shows two parents.
I like G the most- I think it sticks out the most with the art and description.
I ranked my choices based on which cover design best captures the essence of the title and conveys the message via images.
G catches my attention the most because the illustration really speaks to me! The others are fine except C. I find the bomb imagery upsetting.
Gotta be careful about the book-banning brigade, they would probably send away (C). I think if I was looking for an anger management book to help a child from the parents' perspective, (G) is the cover that would get my attention first. I think the other options are a little too indirect for catching eyeballs.
I like the picture on "G" that shows parents and children. Very easy to see what the book is about.
I have two kids 10 and 12. Getting to where I feel like my anger is more apparant than it was. So I would be interested in this book. I like the photo and image in choice G.
I rather the font in red or the book cover in red. It shows to me the overall idea of anger and hatred, and that is what is being pushed in my opinion.
8 Responses to Option H
I would choose choices H, A, G and C first because the title is more catchy and the font of the words are more attractive as compared to the other given book titles for me.
I like the concepts of H, A and D the best, the illustrations go better with the name of the book and allow you to use your imagination more
H has the most fun, eye catching and unique cover.
I chose H because the fingers are unexpected and therefore pop more than the other choices and catches your eye.
I love this cover. A parent yelling at a kid and the kid not understanding, that is how it is when they are young.
Option H had a funny but relatable picture on the cover that was appealing. I liked that options A, E, and D showed the layers of emotion in a simple picture of the unhappy and happy sides of things.
I’d want something a lot less threatening than the parents fighting in Option G and would go for one of the Janus-faced covers, Options H, D, and E.
I think the fingers make for the most unique cover
