Which design would you prefer for a beginners crochet kit?
Option C won this Ranked poll with a final tally of 18 votes after 2 rounds of votes counting.
In a Ranked poll, respondents rank every option in order of preference. For example, when you test 6 options, each respondent orders their choices from first to sixth place.
PickFu requires a majority to win a Ranked poll. A majority winner differs from a plurality winner. A majority winner earns over 50% of the votes, whereas a plurality winner earns the most votes, regardless of winning percentage.
If an option does not earn a majority of votes, PickFu eliminates the option with the lowest number of votes. The votes from the eliminated option are reassigned based on each respondent’s next choice. This process continues in rounds until a majority winner emerges.
Scores reflect the percentage of total votes an option receives during the vote counting and indicate the relative preference of the respondents. If there is no majority winner, look to the scores to see how the options fared relative to one another.
Option | Round 1 | Round 2 |
---|---|---|
C | 46.67% 14 votes | 60% 18 votes +4 |
A | 30% 9 votes | 40% 12 votes +3 |
B | 23.33% 7 votes | Eliminated 7 votes reassigned |

These are positively all adorable. It was a difficult choice and truth be told, I would be inspired to learn how from any of these! That said, the fox is just so cute. The bushy tail with the scarf is simply too much. I do love each of them and the color of the bird is beautiful. I also think the stacked pumpkins would be something I would put out on display. Basically, you cant go wrong with these.
A... Absolutely adorable without a doubt they are all cute but this one here is so adorable! I would definitely choose it as soon as I saw it
i like b the best for halloween time but a is good for all year round
Option A is very cute and it would keep me motivated to finish the project with excitement
I think the dog in A is the most adorable and it is also the most useful because it can be used as décor year round whereas the pumpkin seems more appropriate for fall and the penguin seems more appropriate for winter. I chose the pumpkin in B as second place because I like having the different sizes and it also looks less likely to topple over than C.
The fox is adorable. That is something I would purchase to learn.
The fox is absolutely adorable, it's definitely something I'd like to have. C is my second choice, it's more basic but still has a lot of character. B the pumpkins are cute, but seem maybe a little too specific to one holiday.
I prefer Option A because I can display this in my home all year long.
Definitely Option A because it looks more useful as an end result. Thank you.

I chose option b because they look like the most simple shape to create and because they are very seasonally appropriate at this time
These are all adorable, but I would really like to know how to make the little pumpkins
Right now I'd get option B because it is Halloween season, but the others would be good the rest of the year.
I like B because it is simple and I know that is what you need as a beginner or it was when I first started
I chose option B as my number one because I can't resist pumpkin themed things. Also, it's a round shape so I can't imagine it's too hard. Option C really looks like the easiest pattern, and I would have chosen it first on that merit alone, but the pumpkins were cuter and looked softer in general. Option A is my last choice because it looks too complicated for a true beginner project. I would be afraid that I, or the person I was buying it for, would find it too intimidating to try.
I would choose option B simply because it is almost Halloween.
I would love the seasonal pumpkins. The dog is cute but mine will think it's a toy.

This option looks easier to make as a beginner.
I actually bought the penguin for beginners kit and it is incredibly difficult to do. No matter how many times I watched the instruction video I couldn't figure out how to make it.
The penguin is adorable. I love the shape and the colors. It looks like it would be easy for beginners to wrap their head around. It doesn't look like anything would be difficult to put together. I can see buying this for my grandkids to get them started. The dog that is option A is also really cute, but it looks more difficult to create. Option B is also cute, but again it just looks more difficult and really only appropriate for autumn rather than working year round.
C is cute and looks simple. I like A but it doesn't look as simple. B is too connected to holidays.
I think C is the best because it seems like it has the least about of sections/edges/indents etc. The body of the penguin is mostly round from what it looks like, the flaps for the arms would be small, and the front white section is round as well, so then you just have to learn how to connect everything. B is second because aside from how the indents are made (whether it's just wrapping it with yarn or doing something else) the pumpkins also are just round shapes besides the stem on top. I think this would be just as easy as the penguin but this design might only sell well around Halloween and the Fall. It also might seem a little more daunting than the penguin since it's three. A is last because the fox looks much harder than the other two. It's still cute but it seems like there would be more sections to have to learn to do and then more to piece together.
B is adorable, but I feel that is too advanced for a beginner. C seems about right as a beginner product.
I think this blue bird would be a good project for a beginner. It doesn't look like it has as many curves and changes in the pattern.
I put the images in C, B, and A order. C and B are both my favorites. I would be happy to see either of them in the beginner crochet kits. So I went with C first. I think C would be easier to make than B for a beginner person who may have never done it before.
C because it looks like the easiest to make, and learn about crochet. B, because it looks fairly easy. And A because it looks too difficult for a beginner.
For a beginner, I like that this just round - it seems easier and better for that stage. The fox looks hardest.
I prefer option C. I would prefer that someone who is new to crocheting because of the new skills you would learn by doing this one.
They are all cute, but the blue bird stands out. It also looks easier to do than the other two designs.
The fox looks too difficult to make for a beginner. It didn't seem like a reasonable design. I thought the penguin was more cuter than the pumpkins.
I think the penguin is cute and it looks pretty easy to do, which is perfect for a beginners kit.
