Which name for a dating app sounds better to you? (The main functionality of the dating app is that you can play games with each other)
38 Responses to Option A
I love the name of play date. It makes it seem like you are looking for something sexual not just a date. Which is not a bad thing or a good thing.
I like this one better. It is easy to remember. It also gives you the idea of the site. The other one is hard to remember and people might forgot it. Thank you.
I can't even figure out how to say that. Tickle? No.
It is an easy name to remember ;)
option b sounds like a medicine that i can't pronounce. i don't associate it with dating, games or fun..actually made me unhappy..i associate it with medicine.Option A was cute and playful. no mystery i totally would know pretty much what to expect with an app with this name. as someone who uses an online dating app..i would use one named this.
I honestly don't like either too much since maybe A might be interpreted as creepy or with pedophilia undertones. But it's better and potentially more playful and straight to the point than B, since I would not even know how to pronounce B or what it means.
I like the name Playdate much better its more appr
More related to the dating theme.
This name is perfect because it captures the concept of game playing plus dating in one word while the other option is just confusing.
I'm not sure that I like either of them. Again, some of these make me feel old. the "Tyqle" is a bizarre spelling to me, kind of throws me off, but I'm trying to keep up so it makes sense enough. They both just seem a little too childish too me for a dating app, that I would assume is 18+. even if you wanted to include 16 or 17, these names still seem childish.
I chose option "A" for the preferred name of the app because the name fits the description very well. The word play gives the impression of playing a game. Also the word date gives you the impression that it is a dating game. The name stands out more and makes more sense. I do not know what the name "Tyqle" even means for option "B".
I DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT B MEANS
Playdate is a name I can understand. I play many mobile games and like to keep thing simple.
I think it would appeal to a broad market.
I chose A because the name is straightforward, easy to comprehend and fun similar to something like facebook. Name of option B is kind of confusing. It could be famous but It would take way longer.
It actually means something, where the other word I don't recognize to me.
Playdate is a cute word that directly say what the game is about. Tyqle does not sounds like an attractive app name.
I like this because it seems fun.
It's more obvious what the title means, as Option B is a bit confusing and hard to pronounce.
I love how playful this sounds. Its catchy and sounds like it would be fun to use!
Name is more straightforward, and describes the app much more than "Tyqle".
slightly prefer the sound of a. not even sure how to pronounce B
This one at least makes sense the other name is just nonsense sounding.
A is descriptive, pronounceable, and a playful callback to childhood.
Choice A - Playdate. Sounds fun and remembrance to when playtime was fun. Choice B - Tyqle - not sure what this is or what it is supposed to mean.
A describes more what the app is, however, I am still not fond of the name as "playdate" is something I associate with toddlers and young children, not a dating app. B isn't memorable and to me, it looks like it should be pronounced "TIE-kl", which makes no sense. I think they are thinking "tickle", but that's not how it reads to me. If they spelled it more like "Tikkel" or "TIKKL", I'd be more inclined to vote for it.
i think the name sounds like a really cute fun dating app
Playdate sounds much better and like a real app the other one sounds very unappealing
I THOUGHT IT WAS A CUTE PLAY ON WORDS
B sounds like some sort of medicine.
Playdate is easy to say and remember. It sounds kinda R rated though, but I think it's the best of the two options, as I don't know how to pronounce "Tyqle".
I prefer Option A because the name is more indicative of the purpose of the game.
The first option looks like a nonsensical word that means nothing.
Playdate has a very cute ring to it
I don't know how to pronounce B and it doesn't describe the product as well as A
Playdate sound much more fun and imply playing game in the name too. Great name!
Oh, option A is much better of the two, it's cute and gives you an idea of what the app is. Option B seems just like unpronounceable gibberish.
I think option A is appealing and catchy name for people like to play games

I think B is more creative and unique of a name. I prefer that one.
I think the name Playdate sounds very generic and shouldn't be used in an app or even a website for that matter. Tyqle sounds kind of interesting
When I think of playdate I think of kiddos and moms getting together to socialize. I rather not associate that word with dating app
"Playdate" sounds like it's an app for children and it would probably be hard to get adults to use it, so this one wins by default
A just sounds gross and inappropriate. I don't care for B either, but I'm not skeeved out because of it.
The name playdate(Option A) does not resonate with me in the least bit. I picked Tyqle (Option B) because it sounds fun to say.
I actually like Playdate but not the association with something children do.
It sounds good.
Choice B seems like a more appropriate title. Choice A is something I associate with children; using it on an adult dating app seems very inappropriate. Choice B has a lighthearted feel to it that matches the main functionality of this app.
I don't like either, but option B is not as bad as A. I can't even pronounce option B, but it doesn't sound like something I do for my 4 year old. I do not even knowing adults would use an app to play games, sounds like a raunchy site or one to keep up with my kids activities. So option B is my choice out of these 2 and I think it still needs work.
I voted for B because you need at least two people to Tickle even though a Playdate has the same connotation. Tyqle just sounds like more fun.
I am neutral to the word Tyqle, but it is better than the term playdate, because that would seem more fitting for a child care or some sort of child related service instead of a dating app.
