Would you use an app or web platform to suggest places for local art installations in your community?
29 Responses to Option A
It would feel good to be able to help where art would be placed.
Yes, I would love an app that would allow me to judge local art.
I would use an app to suggest art installations because it seems like something interesting and fun to see will always come up.
Some of the places local murals ended up didn't make sense. There are other locations that make more sense
i would choose to have one so I could get input
I would use one because I think it's a good way to find different places that might be of interest to me without having to use other methods that might not be reliable. Having an app or web platform for that would be useful to me for sure. I also think a lot of people in my community would find it useful too.
Using an app would make it a lot easier, and more accessible for everyone to be able to vote on the issue.
I voted A, yes, because I would be interested in voicing my opinion on areas that would be good to display things like fountains or statues for the public to enjoy and to make places like parks seem more special.
I would! I think it could be a great way to expose myself to parts of my community I'm unaware of. We could all benefit from more shared experiences.
it would be great to locate them easier
Yes, because I am interested in local art installations as a general rule. Anything that brings people to local businesses is good. In addition, I am always looking for something new to see in my community.
I would use the website, that's pretty neat. I would be interested in finding out about local installations to go see. But I would not download and install an app on my phone for it.
I think that would be an interesting concept. There is a lot of local artists in my area.
i like it very much
Yes! Art is a big thing in my city with local restaurants and stores hanging local artists work.
What a great idea! I would use it often!
I love art but not friends with art people so finding new installations is hard sometime.
Yes, I would love an app like that. It's nice to get out and enjoy my neighborhood and explore new things and the app would be helpful in attending these events.
Yes that sounds like fun! I enjoy getting exposed to art, especially when I'm out and about on the town.
If there was anything in my area, yeah. That might be neat.
I'd choose A because I can't know where everything is, it'd be nice to have something tell me where local art installations are.
I voted for "Yes" because "maybe" wasn't an option. :) But "no" isn't an option for me either... speaking as someone who wants to get more in tune with the arts scene in their community, I would love an app or website like this to exist, certainly.
Seems like it would be a useful and more art is always great.
I think art is a very important form of expression and would be very important as a part of the community.
Considering how difficult it is to find such places, if an app or web platform would make it easier than I would find it extremely helpful.
I think it could be fun to nominate places. I travel around my area quite a lot for volunteer work, so I could be on the lookout for places or spaces to suggest. It would be even better to have it incentivized, kind of like JobSpotter but for places--say $.50 per place or maybe more for a successful referral.
I think this is a really interesting idea with a lot of local appeal. I also live in a fairly artsy town.
I am an artist, and I would love to be able to suggest and possibly pursue working on a public art project. I would not use an app, but a website would be nice.
I would use an app that suggests places for local art installations in my community because it isn't something I normally hear about. I live in a rural community and I don't see many things like art installations. It would be a new and interesting experience and it would give my family and I something to do. It is also important to me to support local artists and businesses, so this would be another way to do that.

I don't think my community would listen to suggestions for locations so I would not bother.
I think there is a committee that has this covered.
I am not interested in art installation
I don't have a very deep appreciation for art. I probably would not use this.
I don't use a cellphone so I never use apps. I am also unlikely to go to a website for this particular reason (local art installations).
I would have no interest in downloading an app like that to take up space on my phone. I would also not take the time to go to an app or website to suggest something like that.
i don't care about art
Good information it shows current exhibits and shows
Probably not because our money and time is better spent in other aspects of our area.
I am not much for art so I would have no interest in this.
I live in too small of a town for this to be useful and there would be no need for this type of app.
I do not think there would be any need for me to have an App for such instances, but a web search would be more applicable.
I live in a small town, so there is likely no local installation that an app would know about.
I can't see myself ever using a app or web platform for local art installations in my community. It's just not some thing I find an interest in doing. I would find myself maybe at a meeting suggesting where art could be places but I would never think to search for such an app.
I don't visit art places ever. It would be a really random thing for me. I would have to no use for an app or web platform.
I don't really care enough about this for it to be an entire app. I think it might be better implemented in a more general app about art experiences in my area.
Although my answer is partially because I wouldn't seek art installations in my community in the first place, I also wouldn't use an app or web platform to do so because I think it's too much hassle for what it is. I would much rather do a google search for example, because I think it would be quicker, plus I won't have to download any extra software that will likely just sit on my phone or computer with minimal usage.
I also am not sure I understand the question. Would I be suggesting places for art installations to other artists, based on places I know that could use some public art? Or would I be using the app to locate places in my area that have art installations? I would prefer to see this question phrased a different way.
This is not something I ever really think about so I don't think I would actively use this app. I also don't know where local art installations should go and would not have many suggestions.
I don't really use apps to suggest places for anything but it's a really cool idea
That would not be beneficial to my area.
