Would you use an app that shows events of any kind or based on your interests occurring near you right now or today?

It really depends on the accuracy of the app for the most part.
i wouldn't use it. it invades my privacy.
I absolutely would. Would be very useful
No. I do not care to use apps that will track me and know where I am on any given day.
yes, i dont have time to find curated experiences
I would enjoy an app that did show me events and events that I was interested in. Especially in my local area. Also especially if it pertains to children entertainment.
I think I might use something like this. It could be helpful to know what events are going on around me, Sometimes I search for events and the results are not great. If it was an app that allowed me to customize different search filters that would be helpful.
I can't see me using it in my ~50k population small city. I think this would be useful in a few select big big cities. But I don't know if it would translate to even mid-sized cities as there just wouldn't be enough events to bother curating. It'd be better to just list all events happening that night.
Yes. It would be nice to have an app that could give me ideas of local things to do or events to go to.
It sounds too generic and like other apps out there.
No, I do not have the money to do anything right now and therefore do not have the need for an app like this. It is a great idea though.
I probably won't use an app like that, although I am sure it would be helpful to someone.
I might. I think that would be something that i would have to try out and see how it works before i decided to keep it or not
I'm fine with just Googling this type of information
Yes, it would be interesting to see what is going on locally. I would try the app out if it was free.
No, I don't think this would be utilized much as I tend to be quite aware of local events. This would simply serve to remind me of the social activities that I would rather not partake in.
I can google or look in the newspaper. Don't need an app.
Yes, I probably wood. Especially if I was sitting home bored and wanting something to do. That would be handy I think and useful.
If I was able to choose the type of event and the distance from me I would like to use this type of app. I would not want to be overwhelmed with things that are either too far away or in places that I would not go to. It would have to be pretty specific about what types of events it showed me also. I would not be interested in a app that just told me everything that was going on or an app that didn't give me enough time to plan the event into my schedule. For example I don't want to be told about a concert at noon at 11 am. If the conditions I set forth were fulfilled I think it would be a great app.
YES IT WOULD BE HELPFUL WHEN I AM LOOKING FOR THINGS TO DO
That would be such a handy thing to have. It would make setting up plans with friends so much better and more interesting.
Yes, the are a I live is becoming a very active city, a lot of night light, and cleaned up down town. It is becoming more exciting to visit, and to have an app that shows latest events would be great.
I might use it, but I could just look up these events online. I'm not sure it's needed.
I think that would be a cool way to get out and be able to find things around the area.
I think that it would be useful. Sometimes I would like to know of events going on locally, but have a tough time finding them.
I think it might be useful for communities that aren't on all on the same social media platform. For me? Not so much.
Probably not, I have other means of being aware of events near me of interest.
Yes because i frequently google these questions and would be better using an app for more accuracy.
Yes, I would like and app that has that information in one spot, rather than having to search for events and interests in the web.
I live in a small town. Not much is going on around me I'm sure. And if there was, doubtfully anything I'd be interested in.
It's nice to see what's happening near me!
It depends on how accurate the app is. I would like the app to be visually pleasing, but most importantly accurate as to what my tastes are.
Yes I would. It would be nice to be able to select a geographic distance or location as well as filter it for different kinds of events or interests.
I am always looking for things to do with my husband, kids and grandkids in our local area. An app showing events would work really well for me.
Depends on what interested I can't find in other places.
Absolutely yes. I currently have to go onto all of the 3 main local news station websites and still check social media and separate venues to see what is going on this weekend - especially if it is a surprise weekend or day off.
Yes because I don't know about a lot of things that are happening in the town I live in and I normally find out after they occurred and miss the opportunity.
I spend a lot of time online trying to find something fun to do for the weekend or even an occasional weeknight. This app would definitely save me a lot of time and it is something that I would get a lot of use out of
No, Google maps already does this so I would just use that as it has additional functions as well.
I don't see any need for a separate app when Facebook does this already.
Maybe, if it was free. I get that every day on Facebook.
Seems like it would really only be useful in certain situations, and I would be wary about giving it sensitive location information or other personal information
Yes. I am up for fun. I do want to attend events that are happening even currently.
I would prefer a longer time because I like to plan things. I'm sure people who are spontaneous would love this, but I am a planner!
It would be helpful to be made aware of nearby events that might otherwise be off the grid and not known to be happening
I would be interested but unsure as to if I'd be able to use it often.
Probably not. I tend to look up stuff on my own and I already get enough notifications about random stuff that may or may not interest me.
Would be a good alternative to facebook
An app that shows events occurring near me would be interesting, but I feel like it would also make me feel left out if I was busy on the days of the events. If I downloaded it, I would probably turn off push-notifications. If this app did exist I think I would prefer something along the lines of a newsletter style list at the start of each month with reminder lists at the start of each week. Each listing can link to more information and allowing you to note if you want reminders from there.
I actually think that is a really good idea. That would be such a good idea. I think it would useful for people looking for different of events that interested them.
