Which definition below resonates with you most?
Option A won this Ranked poll with a final tally of 63 votes after 4 rounds of votes counting.
In a Ranked poll, respondents rank every option in order of preference. For example, when you test 6 options, each respondent orders their choices from first to sixth place.
PickFu requires a majority to win a Ranked poll. A majority winner differs from a plurality winner. A majority winner earns over 50% of the votes, whereas a plurality winner earns the most votes, regardless of winning percentage.
If an option does not earn a majority of votes, PickFu eliminates the option with the lowest number of votes. The votes from the eliminated option are reassigned based on each respondent’s next choice. This process continues in rounds until a majority winner emerges.
Scores reflect the percentage of total votes an option receives during the vote counting and indicate the relative preference of the respondents. If there is no majority winner, look to the scores to see how the options fared relative to one another.

This resonates with me the most because it is the most direct about the faith. It talks very easily what it is about. I think this really encompasses Christianity in it's entirety
The only one that doesn't catch my attention as Christian right away is my last choice. I also prefer a 'Follower of Christ' to a 'Christ-follower'
A, would be the one I prefer the most, a follower of Jesus who shows through his actions on what he believes.
A sounds inspiring, I can relate to C, I thought D was peaceful and E and B sounded very standard and did not stand out as much for me.
All of these seem a little pushy in the wording. I prefer the ones that explain these are families looking to educate others in their own communities best.
To me when I think of this person they have to be a follower who tries to live the life of jesus.
I rated these this way because my top choices were more personal. As you go from top to bottom in my list, it goes from most personal description to most generic. I resonate with a more personal approach.
A was the most friendly and welcoming.
I don't like words like "intentionally" or "declare." These are a bit too strict for a family-oriented setting
I think that this description is easy to read and really is more friendly and inviting
I prefer option A because they are leading by example and not just declaring what others should do.
I picked A s the wording I like best. I like it because I think Follower of Jesus is the best starting out. I liked the following list of that what it means, loving him and practicing his ways etc, I like that it shares more fully and explains what it means to be a follower of Jesus and then ends it with sharing it with families in their corner of the world--which I like better than the descriptor "family space"
pursuing and practicing and educating are preferred action words vs evangelize
A is descriptive and concise. All the rest are good except E. I don't like trendy buzz phrases such as in the marriage and family space.
What the definition needs most is to articulate that these people actually live the Gospel themselves and then share how they manage it. Because there are plenty of fake Christians who will tell you what to do and how to do it, then they do not live up to their own ideals. I like the phrase coach more than guide, but if these people have no formal training then guide is better.
These are all pretty good options for what you are looking for however I believe this option resonates the most with what you may be trying to accomplish.
I like that this explanation includes loving Jesus. This is central to the practice of the Christian faith.
It speaks to me because the definition follows Jesus and His ways. This definition puts Jesus first and His values in the world today.
I chose Option A first because I feel it is most representative of the Spirit of the Bible. It explicitly states that this person is a follower of Jesus and pursues loving Him. I chose Option D next because it mentions that the Gospel is full of good news and nothing to be afraid of. This person also only seeks to demonstrate behavior for your benefit. I chose Option B third because it focuses completely on intention. I feel that this person would be very focused on the mission and wouldn't falter in their execution of the mission that God has for them. I chose Option C fourth because it highlights that Jesus only has good news to share. Many people are afraid of the Church don't understand that Jesus only wants to bring you good news and this person gets that. However, I'm disappointed that they don't more explicitly state how other families will be helped around the world in this Option. I chose Option E last because it seems to monotonous and not heart-felt enough. It just seems like this person is performing a task and not trying to reach the heart of another family through the guidance of Him.
A. was very well put and easy to understand. "Making Him known to families" implies that the person will interact with families and show them the Way.E. was too short. It could represent anyone- not a Guide. E. does not specifically state that they would help anyone. A Guide implies action.ALso I think of a Guide as someone who teaches. B. does not say the person will teach- only demonstrate. What does that mean exactly?D. was too long and kind of a run on sentence.C. was good and it took the definition further by saying that the person "helps families impact". There is more action in this statement.
I would choose "A" because I follow Jesus and am practicing his words.
Option A is what we are taught from the time we can start walking until we are adults.
I think that A is clear and without a lot of filler. It tells you exactly what they are doing and has a nice flow to it.
I think option A sounds the best. I feel like most people who follow Christ would think so too. More fitting
Don't use the word evangelism. It doesn't have a positive connotation, especially in certain parts of the country. You don't want to alienate anyone from your purpose/message
Honestly, I picked A because I believe it sounds the best. With A, I think you're trying your best to do what is right as a Guide. Option B is also good, as you do want to be intentional with your thoughts and actions. Option D does sound alot like B, just worded slightly different. I liked that Option C mentions having a trusted friend but, I don't believe that it has to be a friend to deliver God's word. Option E is the same as the orignal post.

I love option b because it hits close to home for me. I am a follower of Jesus and I always love to have him close in my life.
B, D and A are the most heart felt, deep, detailed, insightful and touching. C and E are easy to understand, but lack the passion of B, D and A. I like B, D and A equally.
The first one I feel is the most true path I would be interested in. The second and third are very close. The last two really feel forced.
I believe that the point where the good news of the lord is intentionally demonstrated is the most reliable form every christian would want to see.
I would choose choices B, A and C first because they have a more detailed explanation to me as compared to choices D and E.
I like choice B because it is detailed. I choose this because it is easy to understand.
In general I prefer a concise definition that uses the verbiage "A follower of Jesus," because it is straightforward and simple. Option B was the most brief while having a positive message and vibe.
B, A and D are good because the first thing they mention is being a follower of Jesus . C is not bad because it mentions a trusted friend
The message seemed to be more balanced to attract different worshipers
Reading through, B, E and A were all very well put together and resonated well. Ultimately I felt B flowed well and sounded best.
B seemed so positive.
All of these are great, and it was hard to choose. I picked B because it includes "good news", and it seems very positive and inviting.
I liked choice B since it sounds more relaxed and confident while being welcoming. Choice E sounds too direct and to the point without being warm.
B and A both have a "soft" approach whereas other use words such as "declare" that sound to aggressive.
My choices were based on the meaning of the options as they relate to me. And my way of understanding the intents
I ranked my choices based on how clearly I could envision this person based on the description.
Option B is clear about Jesus' mission and clarifies the purpose of sending good news of Jesus to families all over the world.

I like C best because it describes the definition provided in the most common sense way.
I prefer this one because this is how the true gospel of Jesus should spread one person and a time
the message in option C resonates with me the most because of the conciseness and power of the words
Some people may get perturbed by the strong religious leading in these messages so when you're mentioning Christ or Jesus to some people you can lose them right there so I think when you're delivering this message it's effective to refer to a trusted friend and then lead into Jesus and having an impact on the world and and in that case you're starting off light and getting a little serious and then connecting the dots on to how this matters
I like that option C uses the phrase trusted friend. This makes me think that this person is genuine and will actually care about me and my wellbeing.
I chose option C because I like the idea that it talks about a trusted friend.
I think C is the most down to earth one that I feel describes me perfectly. It just sounds so grounded in the real world
The term "trusted friend" makes this sound reliable and genuine.
I thought B and E were a bit generic and thought C and D were much more specific and felt more memorable and punchy.
I really like the approach in Option C of using "a trusted friend". To me this enhances the relationship between the guide and the families the guide will impact. The first four options I ranked all give the sense of a mentor/guide, while Option E does not. For this reason, I ranked Option E last. Options B, A and D seemed fairly similar to me, so I ranked them in order of how fluid the language sounded to me.
Choice C gives a sense of how important religion is to them, but also creates a more personalized connection to them.
I consider that option C is the most appropriate and also the one that offers clearer objectives of what a follower of Christ is and that helps families with something good and not only with words. My second option would be A because it indicates that he is not only a follower of the text of Jesus but also practices the Gospel of Christ.I believe that these two could represent the meaning of Guide as indicated by the Gospel, that by their works they will be known.
Trusted friend sounds the most friendly and approachable. I'd skip evangelism because it is a divisive term.
I like option C because I think it captures the definition without being too pushy. I like that it starts with a trusted friend, I think this can speak to a lot of different individuals whether they are spiritual or not. Lastly I love that is says "share the good news of Jesus" because he is the true reason to believe.
C is the most appealing title. I think that would appeal to a broad audience of readers.
I ranked options C and A the most because they use more simple yet touching wording.
I choose C because the message in C is extremely creative, unique while still sounds interesting and appealing to readers, compared to other options
For me, C and A seems to be the two that I feel gets my attention for a guide that I and my family need in our lives. These are the ones I'd want to inspire me
Option C has good language for new believers or non believers, it doesn't use a lot of "christian-ese." Option A I think really gets down to the root of discipleship, and I like that it points inward first. Option E is very simple and to the point, but it also makes it easy to understand. Option D is last because it is a bit wordy and the tenses change, making it hard to read.
I like the inclusion of "a trusted friend" because it further reinforces the connection with the family.
I like C. I feel like the others that begin with "Christ follower" are a bit redundant because who else would share Jesus? A trusted friend sounds better to me. It might even be less likely to deter those who don't believe or might be on the edge.
I like option C the most the because as a mentor family you would hope that they would be trusted to share good advice. I don't think there is enough difference in A, B, D for me to put one over the other, but I like E the least because it sounds to complicated and could be misinterpreted by some people.
14 Responses to Option D
D seems to read the best to me, and gives the best information to the audience in my eyes.
I like option D the best because I like how the message talks about Jesus and I like how it says "demonstrates how to follow Him" because a lot of people who aren't familiar with Jesus wouldn't even know where to begin and this message is easy to understand for those people reading it.
Option D feels genuine and gets the message across.
Wow. Not sure I truly like any of them - more work may be needed. But of those offered, I put Option E last due to the use of the word "evangelism". Not a bad word, but it implies real "pushiness" that I would not associate with a "Guide". Options B and C came in next to last with the use of the word "intentionally". Another "not great word", as I would HOPE that ANYTHING a Guide does is with "intention" - the intention of spreading Christ's love to those in their area. Option A was close, "making him known" sounds reasonable, but I selected Option D where "demonstrates how" gives a more "guide-like" feeling, implying a more comforting "show by doing" and "leading by example" feeling. So I choose Option D
I chose D, B and A as my top three choices because I like how these descriptions refer to the person as a follower of Jesus. I chose D as my top choice out of those three as the phrase seeking to declare the good news of the gospel feels very fitting for this type of person. I chose B second as this one is very similar to D but I feel like D flows a little bit better than B does. I chose A third as this one as the message is good but I don't particularly like how "pursues loving him" sounds. I chose E fourth as it is a little less descriptive than some of the other options. I chose C last as this sounds more like a friendship rather than someone who mentors.
Options D and E resonate with me the most because they conveys concepts that I can relate to in my daily life today and in the past.
They are all adequate but E and Care too short. D explains everything clear to me and adequately deaatiled
All of the definitions resonate with me. They all are good definitions
Option D is the one who fits perfectly. I like the way it was worded and how makes me feel that the follower is directed by Jesus himself.
D is the only one that I liked because it starts with the word a and talks about a follower of christ. I don't like when they use the term like Christ follower, it just seems weird
I think option D is simple and straight to the point.
Choice A is very easy to read and organically describes what it does and means
Choice D sounds most like a guide and how they will help me.
I liked that D focused on leading by example and working together with one's family to then bring good news to the world. It best captured my vision of the definition. I also thought B did a decent job.

It's concise and addresses the importance of marriage and family in a Christian relationship.
This definition most clearly explains the original thought line for the guide
E sounded the best to me. It uses fewer words to get the point across. D also works well, but I like "Christ-follower" better than "follower of Christ".
I have to say that E resonates with me the most because it is concise yet says so much!
Option E's working the most straight-forward and direct in my opinion, which makes it more of a powerful message.
As Christians, you are ultimately following the teachings of Christ. This description better matches that thought. This description matches what the guide will be doing, working with married couples and their families, helping them find and understand the teachings of Christ in their everyday lives.
The only one that stands out is the first one I chose because it specifically targets marriage and family, I know that personally that’s something that we struggle with, I feel like the husband should be the leader but as the wife I’m always pushing, and I don’t want to push. I feel like something like this might help empower my husband to lead our family and our marriage. Along with that, it would empower us to be disciples and show Jesus to the people around us, in our corner of the world.
I think a more concise message is great here and still gets the point of the communication across is much less number of words. It is clear, yet short and easier to digest
While B is a good alternate, I do think the original is the best and most succinct
Based on personal preference and relationships to statements
I like the original so I chose E first. They're all pretty good but sort of generic - could you find a way to put a more unique spin on it?
option e seems to be the most similar to the initial definition
Option E and A is very much good definition of the instruction given above. Other options are just bunch of words that does not make much sense
I feel like all besides C are good, C is just a bit plain and seems inconsistent with what the others are describing.
I like E because its to the point. Then I like A, D, and B because it explains in simple terms but longer answer then E. C is kinda generic definition that could fit other scenarios
I think "their corner of the world" sounds weird. I would prefer something like "where God has planted them".
I picked based on following Jesus and promoting Jesus teachings with emphasis on families and marriages. So the most important keywords are follower, following, families and marriages. I picked A as my third choice since it emphasizes loving Jesus.
I think that the first two options, in addition to simplifying the message, are quite attractive and frame the intention of the message. I ordered the last 3 based on what captured the message and how it was transmitted
Option E is beautiful in its simplicity
I am not over religious. I prefer not to reference Jesus as Him or His; it sounds too preachy.
Short, sweet and to the point on E
