which is a better name for a site/app to chat to experts on any subject
15 Responses to Option A
this one at least gives you an idea of what the app is. the other one just saying gather with an x is a bit weird, since i don't really understand what it has to do with anything.
it easier to understand what they will do on the site/app
Honestly they are not too dissimilar but all in all i think this one is more readable
It sounds less generic than the other option.
I think it is easier to remenber.
I decided to choose option A because I like the idea of multiple people helping out with the chatting or the questioning of a particular subject. It made it seem as if everybody is working as a team to accomplish one unified goal. While I thought that option b was good and that the name was witty and intelligent I also thought that it was very basic and it felt as if I had seen it before on other sites and this made me feel as if it was not very original and also not creative. Therefore I decided that option A was the better of the two choices.
I like the we included because it sounds more conservant
I chose WeGather because I felt it sounded more friendly and inviting than GatherX.
We gather sounds like what the app is about. I am unclear what Gatherx would mean as the x does not make sense to me and it does not seem to belong in the name. Wegatherapp sounds like an online place for people to come together. It relates more to what the actual aim of the app is and what it does
I CHOOSE A BECAUSE ITS MORE LIKELY THAT PEOPLE ARE GOING TO GO ON IT BECAUSE IT EXPLAINS IT IN THE TITLE
Easily rememberable, nice to think about.
Wegather sounds more fitting as it sounds like a group together.
Gatherx doesn't really mean anything to me. Wegatherapp makes more sense.
sounds like a nice place to hang out with other people
it makes more sense "we got the the app" like saying "we got you"

Shorter, sweeter. A is even heard to read.
While I don't think either name would be best for an app to chat with experts, I think GatherX is more simple and easier to remember. "WeGatherApp" is just a mouthful.
option a just sounds to generic
The x is good because it is short for expert. A is too derivative
B is simple while A is just wordmush. If I saw the two side by side, I'd just assume A wasn't even real.
I think that the shorter the name, the better. Plus, gather is familiar, just adding the x.
B is better because it is more evocative of an expert app.
I chose B because A could be read in too many different ways.
The RX makes me think of a doctor which makes me think of a professional (which is who I'd want to talk to if I needed an expert).
wegatherapp sounds more casual and like the advice wouldn't be from an expert. gatherx soiunds more professional.
I think both names equally convey the idea that experts will gather information for the user, but B is a catchier name. A is long and somewhat clunky, and I dislike apps that have "app" in the name because it feels redundant.
It's short and easier to remember.
I don't like the use of app in the name people know its an app.
Gatherx sounds much better and flows off the tongue better. It also makes more sense than Option A, which is a bit wordy in comparison to Option B.
I think Option B is a better name for this topic because a site and/or app should be easy to remember. Also, it should roll right off the tongue. While people who would seek experts would remember 'wegatherapp', I think normal everyday folks would pronounce it wrong or be confused by it.
B is short and concise, A is a lot to process and the name almost looks like "weather."
I like the name "gatherx" because it is easy to remember, and also easy to pronounce. I feel it can also be used multiple ways, such as used as an adjective and a verb.
Using app in the name of an app is redundant while Gatherx is snappier.
Drop app in wegatherapp and it sounds better.
Option B is better because it seems like a crowd sourced app
A is too long. B is fine but a bit too generic but too hard to pronounce
A is too hard to read
on first impression with the description given I don't think I really like either. Maybe Im just not seeing the whole picture. I guess I get how it relates to gathering information. the word gather in both names just throws me off though. It confuses me, thats not where my head goes with it and it make me very confused to what the app does or anything. For a positive of it though, it makes me want to know more about it now because I don't like not understanding things.
Option B is easier to read, remember, and is all-encompassing, which would fit the idea of an app where you can talk to an expert on any subject imaginable. Option A took me an extra minute to figure out and didn't really embody the overall idea quite as well as Option B. GatherX has a good ring to it, and it's definitely something the consumer can easily recall to share with friends and family.
gatherx is a great name for a site or app to chat to experts on any subjetc. I think it is an original name.
GatherX sounds more like a brand/name that social media users would be drawn to. I just like the way the name sounds, opposed to "WeGatherApp". WeGatherApp sounds like something that would be "in beta" forever.
I preferred B over A because, looking at A made me think it was about the weather, rather than on any subject. It's hard to read we gather app when it's all one word. My eyes automatically see the word "weather" instead. gatherx is much better because it seems like a broader category.
I choose B because it's a great way to get to the point/purpose of the site/app. This also grabs attention and is current in pop terminology
They both are uninteresting for that subject, but wegatherapp is particularly bad. gatherx isnt much better but it beats the other
I love the name gatherx. It is not to long and conveys that you gather experts. wegatherapp is a mouthful its a lot to say and it does not convey what you gather.
It has less syllables and is more unique name
The name is more catchy than choice A
Any app or site that has 'app' or 'site' etc are lame and sounds out of touch. Even something about wegather just seems lame/nerdy/like an old person named it. also if you have it all lowercased it looks like "weather app". gatherx (the 'x' should be silent when spoken out loud, in my opinion) seems more classic and catchier and somehow feels more niche.
Don't like either one.
Being honest I'm not a fan of either. I would actually perfer a merge of the two names like wegatherx. But if I had to choose I perfer option B.
