Which name do you prefer for an author of paranormal cozy mystery novels.
Option H won this Ranked poll with a final tally of 54 votes after 7 rounds of votes counting.
In a Ranked poll, respondents rank every option in order of preference. For example, when you test 6 options, each respondent orders their choices from first to sixth place.
PickFu requires a majority to win a Ranked poll. A majority winner differs from a plurality winner. A majority winner earns over 50% of the votes, whereas a plurality winner earns the most votes, regardless of winning percentage.
If an option does not earn a majority of votes, PickFu eliminates the option with the lowest number of votes. The votes from the eliminated option are reassigned based on each respondent’s next choice. This process continues in rounds until a majority winner emerges.
Scores reflect the percentage of total votes an option receives during the vote counting and indicate the relative preference of the respondents. If there is no majority winner, look to the scores to see how the options fared relative to one another.

Honestly my mind went to X files for paranormal. And the name Dana (scully) in the show. So the name Dana was my first choice.
A flows the best and is the most memorable.
I don't have anything specific to offer, as way of explanation. Dana Connor and Lana Mason simply struck me as the best options. Definitely not Emory Keller, as that sounds like a writer of legal dramas. Also, Danielle Carter, as that sounds like the name of one who writes cheap romance novels.
I chose A first because the name, Dana Connor, is different enough to remember and it reminds me of Terminator because it sounds a little like Sarah Connor. Second choice was B, another unique name and easy to spell and probably remember. H is my third choice because Emory Keller is unique and Keller sounds a little like killer. D is fourth, because I like the name Lana and Mason sounds good as a last name for Lana. G came next because I also like the name Olivia. C came next because Lana again. I don't really care for F or E because they are just so common and unremarkable names. Interchangeable common D first names and common C last names. Bleh.

Dana Cade is short, unique, and easy to remember.
I like the names that sound different and unique. The ones you don't hear every day like Olivia and Emory.
Dana Cade is simple and easy to remember. It seems appropriate for the genre.
I chose based on the names that I liked best because I honestly don't even know what a paranormal cozy mystery novel is, nor do I think I would ever read one

I like the name Lana a lot, it’s pretty and not overdone. I think there are way too many Diana and Danielle names out there. Dana is pretty but not as much as Lana. Olivia is just awful, lol.
I chose option C because it's a different but simple (cozy) name for an Author.
I really don't care for the name Emory, so it would be my last choice. I like Lana. It is not too over used, is easy to pronounce, and sounds nice. Dana is my next choice. I like that it is gender neutral and easy to remember. The other names are all fine but they don't have a nice ring to them.
My choice is based on my preference over the name that suits to be author at a glance for paranormal cozy mystery novels.
The name for option C just seems to flow well especially for an author. It's a name you don't forget.
I like option c because the name Lana makes me think she is a superhero
There is something eerily charming about the name Lana, and Dana, hence, C gets my first choice, followed by others respectively
Option C is perfect. It sounds like a real name and is mysterious
Option C has the most unrecognizable type name and that kind of fits it with the theme of paranormal, unknown. Option E sounds generic and like a romance novelist. Option D makes me think of home cooking like a mason jar. Option F makes me picture soup with the cambells logo. Option B sounds like the name of a mystery novelist. Option H makes me think of Helen Keller who was already a figure in history. Option G is another sort of generic name that does not even sound like an author. Option A makes me think of the terminator.
Option C is an easy to remember name that sounds like a mystery writer name. Option B is also easy to remember but does not have that same mystery writer quality. Option D, A and F are all equally generic enough to pass as writer name but they don't have quite the same sound to it as the first two names. Option E, G and H may be too long to remember outright.
The first two were the most appealing and catchy.
Lana is the most interesting name and there are no major characters with that name that I can think of. Diana Campbell is old fashioned like it’s from the 1960s. Olivia makes me think of Olivia Pope. It’s a good name though. Emory is not a recognizable name so I don’t really like that.
I think "Lana" resonates as a cozy mystery author's name. I went back and forth between "Mason" and "Collins." I chose the latter because is sounds more smart and feminine. "Mason" evokes Masonic male cultism.
Honestly, the authors' names don't mean anything to me when reading books. I chose by the amount I like the name in general.
I chose C because I like that name best, it's a good writer name.
My choices are based on the author name I liked best and would choose for this type of book. My decision was based on the name that fits best, which I feel is Option C. I like this author's name for this book.

I went with Lana Mason . I like the combination of delicate Lana and strong Mason
Lana Mason makes me think of Perry Mason. And the word Lana makes me think of paranormal for some reason. So, it's a good combination.
Honestly I am not sure what makes a name seem better in this case. These are all very similar.
Lana Mason and Dana Cade are my top favorite because the names sound so interesting I would think the book would be too. The name itself sounds like an author to follow. My least favorite sounds the most generic like a name on an old cookbook.
Option D (Lana Mason) is hands-down my favorite choice. I think that the first name should be a little more obscure, unique, and less mainstream. I knocked out Olivia and Danielle because I think these names are too common place and not memorable. Lana is unique. The last name also sends instant goose-bumps because I associate it with Charles Manson. Given the subject of the books, I think this is the perfect association. The options with Dana were also OK, but I do not think they omit the instant wow-factor that Option D immediately garners.
I definitely like Dana Mason, the Mason name is associated with mystery. The name is simple and easy to remember when looking for a book
Option D and C had the name Lana, which I found to be more evocative of suspense and mystery. Option B and A had the name Dana, which reminds me of Dana Sculley from X-Files and makes me think of paranormal things. Option G has a refined sound, but may not be the best fit for the paranormal genre. Option F sounded too plain and typical. Option H was too hard to say and sounds too fake. Option E reminds me too much of Danielle Steele.
I chose option D, Lana Mason, as the best option because it evokes images of both unusual things and coziness. The name Lana isn't common and has an aire of mystery to it, and the last name Mason is associated with home. I ranked the others in order of how unusual/common they seemed.
Lana Mason has a nice ring to it for an author
The names are in order that I think they sound right for the genre of book mentioned.
I liked the name Lana Mason the best because it feels fresh, new, and exciting. I ranked names like Danielle and Diana last because they feel old (ex: Danielle Steel), and may give me the impression that the book may not be as modern.
This name seems more original when it comes to a name for an author. It also has a nice sound to it in general and is easy to remember Incase people want to find other books by author.
Option D has a memorable sound to it that just naturally sticks. I find it fairly memorable and sounds like a current enough name to potentially reach younger demographics along with older ones. I would be intrigued to read these stories and see how they develop.
Lana Mason sounds unique! Danielle Carter sounds like the name of a romance writer
Not sure why but Lana and Dana seem the most eye catching for me.
I really like the name of D, Lana Mason, this led me to think of Perry Mason. H was good too, with Emory Keller. That name just flows. I really think that D is the best choice for a mystery writer.
It feels easy to remember though it doesn't give any context in to the genre

I do not ready this type of novel. I chose author names based on other titles that I have red such as Carter, Mason, and Connor. The other names sounded familiar, but I have no other basis to assess their work
I like the name Danielle out of all the possible names available. Emory is also a unique name
Lana Collins works for me because it’s an unfamiliar first name coupled with a fairly common last name. It’s catchy, with two syllables in both first and last name. Because of the somewhat familiar last name coupled with the unusual first name it differentiates itself just enough to be memorable.
E is the top choice as I think the name flows together the best and I like the longer name.
I honestly don't connect a name with the type of book they would write.

I ranked these in the order of what names I thought would fit the theme of the books and what would be easiest to remember
I don't have much of an opinion, though I think "Emory" sounds entirely stereotypical and fake.
I would choose F because the title "Diana Campbell" is best suitable to mystery horror thriller novel this title is standing outstanding compared to other title, easy to remember as well
I honestly don't know why I like Diana Campbell best, but it just rolls off the tongue well and would be easy to remember.
The first two I chose sound most literary to me, and like they could be real people. Some of the rest feel so made-up, it makes me wonder what the person is trying to hide by not writing under their own name.
I really like Diana Campbell and then Danielle Carter. I think that these names stand out. I just really don't like the other names and I wouldn't associate them easily with an author of this genre.

I picked G because I like the name Olivia a lot it is really pretty and unusual.
Olivia Conley just sounds perfect to me over the rest. Cozy Book are clean, soft, with a touch of kindness, very laid back. I also love the name Emory but not the Keller name. I also liked Lana Collins even though Collins makes me think of Jackie. I didnt care for any of the other names.
This name is the most modern and attractive.
The names Olivia Conley and Emory Keller are more modern names, and make me feel like the author's name can appeal to my age range. My least favorite in the bunch were Lana collins and Danielle Carter, because those names sound so similar to late 90s-early 2000's beach reads that follow a pattern and don't offer much creativity. I don't think anyone in my age range would be interested in a cookie-cutter mystery paranormal read.... it would be much more appealing to see a name we haven't seen before.
I LIKE G SINCE IT SOUNDS CLASSY AND UNIQUE OLIVIA IS NICE THEN C IS OK, NOT THE BESTNAME THEN D IS COOL BUT NOT THE GREATEST THEN H IS OK BUT SOUNDS LIKE A GUYS NAME WITH EMORY THEN F IS GOOD BUT NOT THE BEST AND THEN E IS JUST OK TO PLAIN B IS TOIO PLAIN AS WELL AND A IS TOO PLAIN DANA AND DIANA ARE REALLY TOOPLAIN TYPE OF NAMES SO OLIVIA IS THE BEST TO ME AND THE LAST NAME IS COOL
I went for interesting, flows well off the tongue, simple but not so much that is not memorable.
I prefer option G because this author name seems interesting and intriguing, to me it feels memorable and easy to associate with this genre, also same for option A.
Olivia Conley is by far my favorite. It has a nice flow.
G is easy to remember and sounds good
There aren't that many people named Olivia so I liked that one the most. There are a lot of people called Danielle and Diana.
Olivia Conley seems the most stand out. Lana Mason seems to familiar to stand out.
The top three choices were unique enough to sound interesting and upscale. The others basically sounded too normal and average so that they sounded boring to me, a name you wouldn't remember.
I have always been drawn to the name Olivia!
Olivia does sound unique, but not made up. She sounds like an intriguing person. Lana sounds made up. Diana is common. Makes me think of Olivia Wylde, the actress!
I chose by the names that i thought sound most marketable and memorable

H & G were both pretty tied for best choice because they would totally work for paranormal books as they're a little bit more on the spooky sideB & D are also ok but not as much as the first twoC,A,F & E really don't fit into that genre at all. Kind of the opposite really
Emory Keller just sounds mysterious.
Emory Keller sounds like a really cool name and I would want to know more about this author and his writing style.
Choice H definitely sounds like a good mysterious name. It is the most unique of all the choices.
Emory Keller is a more unusual name. It is distinctive and easier to remember than some of the others, which sound like people I went to high school with.
H sounds like a Mysterious Author. Love it
I like the ambiguity of the name Emory. It seems allusive and doesn't dredge up associations with other types of genres. I could tie it to mystery and paranomoral works easily. Dana is okay too, but I start associating it was Dana Carvey or something Hollywood related. I really just don't want names that remind me of hokey romance novels like Danielle or Diana. I feel like I am in a harlequin romance from the 90s with those names.
I like that Emory Keller sounds like a fun pseudonym. Dana and Danielle are boring yet sound too fake
This name is not so common. It sounds like they have a secret.
I chose H first because Emory Keller is a great name that I would remember and be proud to say that I was reading. E or Danielle Carter just sounds boring.
Because option H name seems a bit mysterious and thrilling to me
I chose based on which name sounded the most unique
Not much to say as far as reasoning. I just ranked these in preference of how elegant and intellectual and sort of soft and cozy the names sounded to me.
I really like Emory. I feel that it's a middle of the road kind of name. It could be make or female and it has a comforting ring to it.
H sounds very mysterious. I would go very well with the type of book you’re trying to sell. Plus, it is easy to remember.
I THINK THE NAME EMORY IS DIFFERENT AND A LITTLE MYSTERIOUS. THIS WOULD BE A NAME THAT WOULD BE REMEMBERED FOR IT'S UNIQUENESS
I picked H because I think for the type of book/ stories this pen name would be fitting that genre of novels. I would be interested in reading them under this name.
Emory Cade Please
They all seem nice but I like how I choose them this is good
I ranked each in the order of its ease to remember and flow-how normal it sounded while also standing apart from the others.
H is a unique name and I like that. I chose B and A next because I like the name Dana, slight preference for B because it's catchy. Lana is also a nice name. G is just average and might not be as memorable. E and F sound more like romance novelist names than mysteries.
The name Emory Keller sounds intelligent and no nonsense. I picture a smart author working hard to create clever plots and enjoyable dialogue.
The first two just roll off the tongue and fit the genre better. With both Dana and Lana it's hard to know whether the a's are long or short, and it's a little annoying to me not being sure how to pronounce it.
I love the name Emory. Lana Mason is also good, sound alike perry mason, wholesome
Emory Keller sounds real. It doesn't sound like a made up name.
I really like H. G is a close second. The others are too generic, which feels wrong for a paranormal mystery! To me Emory sounds unique and creative, but warm and wholesome too.
Emory Keller is by far my favorite choice. It has a sounds of mystery and suspense in the way it is so unique. Lana Mason, I associate with Manson, the serial killer, and therefore mystery novels. I did not like Danielle Carter as it feels like a romance novel writer's name.
I like the odd and different name. This name fits the genre.
Emory is not a common name so seemed more mysterious. Mason seemed like a mysterious last name. Cade, Conley, Connor and Campbell all seemed like reasonable author names. Collins makes me think if Hunger Games so a completely different genre. And Danielle makes me think of Steel and romance novels.
The last 3 choices, A B E, were all very fake sounding. H C and G were very welcoming and warm and the names seemed smart.
The name sound like it belongs in a book and is a name once you see it you will remember.
I like in this order. I tried to pick what I found easiest to remember and spell. Spelling needs to be easy so people can look them up easily
The name Emory is very different and you don’t see it very often. I wouldn’t know what gender the author is, since the name is gender neutral. Not knowing would take away any bias a person may have against a particular gender writing paranormal novels and instead makes them focus on the work itself.
