Which book cover is more appealing?
Option A won this Ranked poll with a final tally of 34 votes after 1 round of vote counting.
In a Ranked poll, respondents rank every option in order of preference. For example, when you test 6 options, each respondent orders their choices from first to sixth place.
PickFu requires a majority to win a Ranked poll. A majority winner differs from a plurality winner. A majority winner earns over 50% of the votes, whereas a plurality winner earns the most votes, regardless of winning percentage.
If an option does not earn a majority of votes, PickFu eliminates the option with the lowest number of votes. The votes from the eliminated option are reassigned based on each respondent’s next choice. This process continues in rounds until a majority winner emerges.
Scores reflect the percentage of total votes an option receives during the vote counting and indicate the relative preference of the respondents. If there is no majority winner, look to the scores to see how the options fared relative to one another.
Option | Round 1 |
---|---|
A | 68% 34 votes |
C | 18% 9 votes |
B | 14% 7 votes |

With more animals on the cover it really grabs my attention and the colors are very neutral.
The dogs in A look very inviting. It makes me want to pick up the book immediately.
I thought that Option A was the cutest! I liked seeing the natural image of the dogs in a home setting. It feels most relatable.
this picture looks the cutest
it is the most cutest
I love that Option A dogs actually look like every day dogs that were not pampered for a picture. I think it works and is more suitable for the general audience.
I like these all book cover is appealing
love with a natural background but the 3 together are perfect
I like the cover of this one better
Picture of the dogs did it for me. I like the dog pictures in this order. Love the smile.
having numerous dogs looking so happy would attract me
Having more puppies on the cover is a seller. Having the puppy pose is also good as well.
I ranked the book cover illustration for the Bichon Frise that I liked the most. I liked that Option A had 3 instead of just one
three happy puppies make you want to have them all at the same time
I understand that a dog need to be groomed but I prefer to see them with their most "natural" look. The dogs on cover A look so much happier than the other on the other 2. This is a guide about the breed of a dog not about grooming (even if grooming may be included as a chapter in the book) so # A is the one I would buy
If it’s a “complete” guide, there should be many kinds on the cover. The second one is alright, nice groomed full stance model dog. The third is just a meme waiting to happen. Poor puppy.
Cover A shows a more realistic picture of a Bichon Frise dog that looks more like what this breed will look like in an everyday environment. The dogs look like they are happy and relaxing at home and I like this because it conveys the message that this is a book for real life scenarios. I feel the same way about cove C. The dog appears to be out on a walk with its owners, which is a normal everyday thing. Cover B seems like a show dog, and the book would be off putting to people who are looking for practical advice not related to showing the dog.
these book covers in this order is what I find very appealing. These would make me want to pick the book up to read more to see any more images it may have and information I can read
Seeing three cute dogs on it is better than just one :).
B is a really bad picture and wouldn't want. A has multiple dogs and they look cute and fun in my opinion
My first choice is Option A because the cover looks fun with all the three dogs. It's such a happy cover. It loks like the dogs are smiling. I also like the color combination of the text against the background. My second choice is Option C because the cover has such a cute dog and the background is nice! I find Option B (my third choice) quite boring, it must be the black background color.
A is my first choice because the multiple dogs are just adorable and they each have a different expression on their face. The colors are appealing and the whole photograph is well balanced. C is my next choice because it is a great full body picture of the dog. The background is well balanced. B is my least favorite because while it is cute it isn't as cute as the others and the dark background just doesn't look as inviting.
The color scheme on choice image a is the most appealing. It looks natural. The green pops out really well. Having all three dogs is adorable. More to connect with. The second choice for me is that of image choice b. The poofy hair on the dog makes me laugh the tongue out makes me smile. I just worry the author names are a bit hard to read in the white font. The last choice i enjoy the color scheme just the dog picture isn't as appealing.
because of better background picture
I think the dog looks cuter with less fluffy fur. The dogs on my second and third choice would get hot in the summer! I really like the expression on the face of the dog on the right in my top choice because he looks like he is smiling.
I like the cover with the most dogs on it.
I like option A. I think having the three dogs is always nice.
The three happy dogs smiling is better than the others for sure.
I like these book covers because they are adorable and eye catching, memorable and informative.
As far as I can tell, aside from the photos, the covers are nearly identical. The color choices of the top border are all fairly neutral, so I assume I'm being asked to rate mainly on the basis of the photos. My first choice, with the three younger dogs, is clearly the cutest and most appealing. I ranked in last place the one with the single dog sticking its tongue out at me.
I like choice A the best because what is better than one cute dog? More of course. I like choice A because it grabs my interest right away and the dogs look happy and healthy. Choice B feels too sterile and too much of a fake pose where as choice A is more natural and organic.
I chose option A because I like the cover with the 3 pups best. The one in the middle looks like he is smiling and that's very inviting.
A this one look so cute, B i like this one too, C i don't like it
Book cover A is the cutest of the three,

I think B is more elegant in every way so I would choose that one first... Then C has a warm and sophisticated feeling to it so that would be my second choice, and I chose A last because it doesn't seem as serious as the first 2 even tho it is very cute.
I like B the most because the dog looks more distinct and prestigous, then C because the dog looks more well kept and pretty, then A last because it is the one that is left and the dogs look less fancy and more normal.
The FLuffy doggie os super cute and eye catching
I chose Option B because the shot full faced of the Bichon Frise is endearing and shows off his adorableness. It's sharp and clear and has a aspect of friendliness. Option A with the three is also quite good. The faces are sweet and charming in their innocence. Finally Option C with the full view is nice but not as captivating as the other two.
I think Option B is the most appealing. It shows of the dog the best and it stands out the best. Option C the color choice is not appealing. The orange color is just disgusting. Option A is nice but I like the dog in option B the most. I think option B shows the personality of the dog the most.
I liked the smiling faces the best and chose those first.
I think these images are more representative of what i expect a bichon to look like.

These cool fall colors of C draw my attention. The full body image of the dog in C is the best. The 3 dogs in A are more realistic to most people, as C and B look more like show dogs. The black background around B is too bland and stark against the all white dog, and looks photo shopped around the dogs head.
I like the color scheme and the professional photo of C, I liked the professional photo of B, but wish you could see more of the dog in the photo, I am not a fan of the photo of A.
I chose option C the best because you just can't beat that picture for the cover picture! I chose option A second because I think the mint color is easy on the eyes and blends well with the picture. I chose option B last because of the picture. It's still good, just not as good as option C!
I think the Option C seems more appealing, attention grabbing, yet not boring and typical.
I choose C because I like that this cover gives you an image of the entire dog. Very nice! I choose A next because the dogs look happy and cute. I choose B last because this is an okay cover, however I like the other two better.
The dogs on the cover are more cute on how they are positioned.
They are so cute!!! the A choice looks a bit ratty to me.
I like the pose and the grooming of the dog on the cover of option C, it looks like a good representative of the breed overall. Option A shows how they would look as a regular pet and they look cute. Option B looks over groomed to me and makes the dog look like it would be too fussy to have as a pet.
I chose “C” first. The photo looks professional. It could be a photo from an show dog, well trained and groomed. The colors of the banner go well with the leaves in the background of the picture of the dog. The font a nice size and easy to read. Very nicely done. “A” appears to be a snapshot of family pets. The color scheme is nice and the font is easy to read. At first glance I would not “assume” that these dogs are well trained. This is an assumption on my part. “B” I was not fond of the face shot of the dog. It did not tell a story. The black background makes the white dog scream out here I am with that big beautiful head of hair. The font was clear to read. I did not like the blue on the black it was not a good contrast.
