Based on the description, which book would you rather read?
21 Responses to Option A
I like the book description that is written more as a story than the bullet points of the other one.
I like the description in option A better. I like how the description flows in order to capture my interest and build tension about the story's plot.
I like the more organic and natural summary of Option A. I'm not a big fan of book summaries or marketing that's presented like a movie or video game product with "features" and stuff. It's clever, but I'm old school.
Option A describes the content of the book in narrative form, thus making it more intriguing than the bullet point format used in option B.
I feel like A is descriptive in that it gives you information about what the book is actually about and gets your excited to read it. The other option just lists some bullet points about the book but doesn’t link them together.
I chose Option A because it gave a coherent and complete run down and it sounds interesting and exciting. Its cohesive and explanatory. Option B has good little snippets but they are given out randomly and seem disconnected to the story.
If I were into this genre I would choose this one. The description is in story form and is very intriguing. The other one is too much of a power point format that lacks passion.
A flows much better. B is choppy and hard to follow.
I strongly prefer the description of option A. It feels like a much more complete description that is easier to understand. I feel like option B, while intriguing, just doesn't provide enough information to get the feel of the story whereas A provides the information in story format which gives me a much better feel of how interesting it will be.
I like the regular paragraph format rather than the bullet format. It's less in your face.
I like the story aspect of the description
Option a is more conversational and easier to read and understand
I like A because the description is more intriguing like a story talking about the character. I think B is kind of odd with the characters listed in all caiptals like that.
I think it's better to not have bolded print in each line because it cheapens the meaning. Option A lets me know more about the main character.
I like that A is a well written, concise message. I don’t like the bullet points used on B as it feels weird.
Bullet points don't lend to background information about a story very well.If I'm going to be invested I want the story to be as well.
I like the flow of this one. The other seems too choppy. Option A seems more appropriate for a novel, while option B seems like it is for a movie.
While option B was easier to read, I didn't like the flow as well, nor did it explain what the story was about as well as option A did.
A reads WAY more fleshed out and more ready to read than B
A feels like someone starting to tell me a story that I want to read and finish to find out what else happens. B sounds like a laundry list of what the author hope to accomplish with the story.
more descriptive and would seem more interesting

like the bullet list format, easier to read and understand
I like that this description is much easier to read and it is a lot easier to find all of the important information. The bullet points help a lot
I like option B because the text more straight and to the point. I also thought it was more direct and easier to remember the plot.
This description is more informative, compelling and comprehensive.
B is more appealing to me because I was intrigued by the bold print. Really caught my attention and would do the same in a book store or online.
It clearly lays out the characters and intrigue.
B has the key points highlighted which is fantastic and easier to understand.
Option B because the bullet style is a quick look.
I like the facts in sentence form such as a little summary or storyline so I chose B.
I liked this description it was a quick and to the point and it stands out which makes me more interested right away.
B is intriguing, suspenseful, exciting, and engaging. I want to know more about it!
I chose B because of the description that it consist of.
The writing style in this one pulls me in. The succinct bullet-point type descriptions add mystery to it, make it more dramatic and enticing sounding and really intrigue me. I would rather read this one based on these two descriptions. I like how it goes through and introduces everyone and then says "the epic journey starts here." it makes me feel like I'm ready to read it.
I like the way it quickly and easily describes the different characters and I feel like I have a good grasp as to what its about without anything being spoiled. I would be able to easily glance and understand what the gist of the book is.
The bullet points give enough info to be intriguing without giving away plot points. The spacing and sizing is also easier to read and digest.
I like the plot of both of them but I think that this one was a lot easier to follow and understand
I like how B is written more. It gives you an outline of the story without telling you.
I like the almost bullet point format. I like that it is straight forward and makes me more interested in the book. I got bored reading the description in Option A. The adjectives in Option A did not help the description.
this one is a lot less confusing. the characters are laid out for you and its easy to refer to them to know the character although the other one does tell you a bit more background and tell you more about the actually situation
B is much easier to give a quick read and know the contents. A has way too many words for a description.
The bold descriptions are easier to see the highlights of the game
B is more straight and to the point, also less spoilers.
B makes it a lot easier to read, frankly, and I am more likely to read a bulleted list than a few paragraphs.
B is much better. If you weren't paying me, I probably wouldn't finish reading A. My eyes started to glaze over and I had to read a couple of sentences more than one time. Also, both of the people mentioned are clearly male which makes me know I am reading a book with a certain slant. And possibly kind of racist: Congolese warlord, etc. Choice B makes me thing this will be fast paced and I am more likely to read it.
It’s broken down like a list which seems easier
I prefer B's format which is more readable and easier to understand. In addition to that, it's short and more concise while telling the same story.
I like A because the words are bolded and easy to read and more digestible in the bulleted form.
i like how the description is broken down like that making it better
The organizational structure seems more complete and I like the breakdown of ideas with the bold-faced font. Overall, this is more compelling of a book description and really captures my imagination.
