Which book description sounds more appealing?
19 Responses to Option A
Money Wealth Power are strong words that capture the reader's attention quickly.
I think this description is luring the audience in. Maki g you want to read more of what you have just read!!
I don't like either enough to put in my Kindle Unlimited library, much less pay for. But A goes marginally more in depth into what one of the characters is thinking, and sounds more honest and open to me. B feels like it's all surface stuff, where A is more in-depth.
I feel more of a pull to the single viewpoint description. It is compelling and intriguing, and makes me want to open the book to find out more. Option A was more simplistic since it presented both viewpoints. It looked mildly interesting, but I was ready to peruse the next book jacket for something more intriguing.
I really liked the book color, the blue is great, and the partial guy is great it really works together, as for the text i preferred option A because I felt it was quicker at getting to the point of what the book was going to be about. I don't like to read a story on the back of a book , just like to get to the jist. i also liked as i started reading it, it was almost like the book was directed at me which was fun.
I definitely prefer description A. I think it sounds a lot more intriguing and a lot less conversational. In fact, when reading B I didn't necessarily want to keep reading past the first paragraph. I thought to myself "this guy sounds like a jerk, I don't really care what happens". but with A I felt like "oh! I wonder what will happen? I wonder why this guy has so much money?". I also like that in A things are broken up into smaller paragraphs/sentences with space in between. It makes it easier to read for a description and adds to the intrigue.
The looks stands our slightly more
The large back title draws you in better to read the synopsis of the book.
this one is less complicated and i dont really care for the description that is separated into two different sections
Definitely option A because the lead in words of money wealth and power are universally appealing
I like choose A I stand out more.
I choose A because the paragraphs seem to flow better and it gives a better synopsis of the story then B does.
The first catch phrase of A is great. It is short, succinct and makes me want to keep reading. That drew me into the description better than the one on B.
I don't like reading stories from multiple points of view, and the synopsis of B already displays the points of view of two characters and makes the story immediately less appealing. The writing of the synopsis of both characters in B also feels casual to the point where my thought is that if the book reads like this synopsis, I definitely will not want to read it. A feels somewhat similar, but a bit more serious and also only displays one point of view.
The "Money, Wealth, Power" really grab my attention. There seems to be a manageable amount of text to read.
Option a is more interesting and to the point. I think b is too wordy
I like A because I like how it says Money Wealth Power at the top in bold. It starts making me read that description right away and it draws me in first.
I like the heading better
involving and unique

I prefer B because it shows the viewpoint of both characters on the back cover which was more interesting to read.
This wording seems more intriguing and attention grabbing to me
I like how it distinguishes Sam from Olivia. I like learning about each individual before they met. The story sounds very interesting and I feel as though I want to read the book.
I prefer option B because it highlights more the differences between the two characters.
B definitely arouses my interest more than A. I want to know what happens next. Where's the book? I want to find out.
A gives me more of a framework for the story.
I actually read this genre a lot and would much prefer the book description that obviously gives the viewpoint for the two characters. I much prefer to know that the viewpoint will be from both characters as it makes it more interesting. It's also a better cover with the different fonts on back. The cover in general is good. I like when you only see part of the main character and are able to build a character otherwise in your mind.
The description on this book jacket sounds more intriguing and would make me want to see what the book is all about. It sounds more mysterious.
I really liked option B because it told the background story in Olivia's words. The beginning of the summary of Seth dragged me in and was interested to learn more. I didn't like option A because it sounded so struck up, and conceded written by a man that doesn't treat woman well.
B has the gold covered sub sections that happened to catch my eye.
I think option B seems more interesting and is definitely more noticeable. Option B gives readers just a little bit more detail and the signature writing on the back to match the front is really appealing and makes the over all look better I personally think.
I like that B gives a snippet from both perspectives in the story. Makes me more interested in where the story will go.
B kind of shows more of the past and how the main character changed in the future. A is a little too much of gut punch at the beginning.
That headline, 'There was a time..' really grabbed my attention. I could tell this book was going to tell me some good stories!
Option B has personal testimonials which is important when you're considering a product or service.
Money, wealth and power make me feel like this is more of a business book. Either a book telling me about come kind of corruption or how to gain those things. Choice B makes me want to read it and learn more about the person on the cover. He will need to earn my trust.
The variety of text fonts in B is more interesting. It breaks up the paragraph visually well and keeps my attention.
This title and print sounds more interesting. I want to know more about this guy and his problem. This would be my choice.
I like in B where it splits between two characters, so you get a sense of things from their perspectives. Way more interesting to me.
I like B. I love the fact that it has two different descriptions one for each character Sam and Olivia. That alone makes it far more appealing
I like where it shows the story from the 2 main characters perspectives.
very nice design style
Choice B sets the story up with a little more flourish and intriguing detail. For my personal choice this is the book I want to find out the end. Choice A is so technical and dry feeling. Might open the book and read a paragraph or two to decide but the description on the back of the book is not the type I usually read.
I like Option B over Option A because I like having both characters voices heard. That pulls me in more than just hearing the one voice. Also, the last sentence, "Never could I have been prepared..." makes me want to read the book just to know what happened.
I prefer the split descriptions with the names because it is more personal.
"Money, Wealth, Power." is used over and over again to try to grab readers attention. It isn't very original. "There was a time when I trusted everyone" could also be considered overused but I would be more likely to pick up the book and read the description if I saw that.
B has a personal touch with the names in cursive, i love the gold contrast on the background color
I like that B gives a description of each of the main character.
I think B is better because the writing on the back makes you want to know more about the story in an exciting and curious way. A isn't enticing at all and really just sounds like a stereotypical book whereas B entices you to want to know more.
Having a brief glance into the storytelling of each of the main characters is interesting. It seems fun and full of insight.
The book description in option B is more appealing. I like that is expressed the points of view of the two main characters. You get a little more feel of what the book is about which makes the description much more appealing.
