Stronger Than The Dark has a much more dramatic and sinister sound to it which I think is a little more appealing and sounds more depressing.
I think light or using a phrase around light is obvious. I love the imagery of being "stronger than the dark." That really reeled me in, and I think it would appeal to others as well.
option A gives a better description of being depressed and running in the title
I prefer option A as I feel like "the dark" is really well intertwined with the though of depression and the full phrase "Stronger than the Dark" seems to indicate that running can help fight and be stronger than the darkness that is depression.
I think depression is deeply connected to strength, so I like option a because it draws the attention to the strength of those struggling
This title and the premise behind it appeal more to me because I can relate to using exercise and running to deal with depression.
It makes a strong case for the comparison between their points
As someone who deals with depression, I know of how actually getting out and doing things can help bolster your mood. So the title of A is really an inspirational choice to me that I appreciate.
Stronger than the dark is a much much more powerful title. I didn't even need to go on and read the rest of it. It definitely worked for me!
I like choice A better because it gives a really intimate feeling that the book is trying to put out and really drag my attention in. Stronger than the Dark really embodies the definition of what the book is trying to put out as it's main message.
Depression is talked about as a darkness...and I feel that recognizing that right off the bat is a win. You need more than a beam of light to cut through depression therefore I find A to be more catchy and relatable.
It sounds more hopeful and personal. The other could actually be about anything even UFO's
I like using the word, 'stronger' because it can have a double meaning. I like the idea of coming out of the dark, more so than adding a beam of light.
This makes me more interested in the relationship because it gives running the sunny disposition to help get rid of the dark.
The main title of this option fits the book description better. It also seems more professional of a title in my opinion
I like A because running requires both getting physically and mentally stronger. The beam of light is a good title, but not as compelling as A.
I prefer the book title used in option A because I think that it sounds much better coming out of the mouth and therefore would make the consumer more likely to remember it. I also think that in order to highlight the relationship between running and depression, the title presented in option A does much better.
I feel like when one is depressed they attach more to darkness than light so for me while I like option B, I think speaking to strength among darkness is more relatable, stronger (literally) and works better. I think the other tittle is great and I am not against it, but given the two choices, I think option A is much more appealing
Being stronger than something means there is a struggle and a building of character. I feel that this title gives off more of a struggle and learning how to better oneself and makes the book seem more appealing overall.
A is powerful, intriguing, interesting, and engaging.
I like A because I think stronger than the dark sounds better since depression is seen as dark. It just fits better than B.
Option A sounds much more interesting and complete in my opinion. Beam of light sounds religious almost and could turn off a lot of people.
I like stronger in the dark. Sounds more appropriate. The title is catchy
I like the idea that running might make someone stronger than the darkness since this makes me think that running gives me the strength I'd need to beat depression fair and square.
I like Option A more because it makes me feel more empowered when I read it. I can be stronger than the dark and get through anything that is holding me back.
I like the word "stronger" because it is both physical and mental strength.
Option A allludes to how you can beat depression by running.
I feel that choice A has a more powerful message because the actual title oozes the idea of triumph over darkness that choice B doesn't have.
Option-A looks great and eye catchy as the word stats stronger which makes people comfortable. OptionBB is second as it says beam of light which may not have people to grab the words for the circumstances.
I think it seems less cheesy than the alternative. I like the mention of darkness since it is a book about depression
I love A more because I like the comparison and the use of the word "stronger" as it triggers more feelings for me and makes me more curious.
I like this because it inspires from within. It sounds like a story that will develop more self awareness and toughness. The beam of light sounds more like a gimmick.
Both seem weak but this one is just fractionally better.
Because the idea of running to me gives the idea of someone trying to be healthy and strong, the title of Stronger than the Dark would resonate more with someone battling depression. I think it would connect the running with strength to help overcome the depression.
I think Stronger than the Dark is way more ominous and would be more memorable for the reader to remember.
Everyone wants to think they are stronger than their demons so this title is really good.
Option A book title about the relationship between running and depression is most catchy. I think the words Stronger than the Dark gives me a sense of someone battling emotions and makes me want to read the book to see how the person overcame their troubles.
"Stronger than the Dark" feels more dynamic, while "Beam of Light" sounds like woo nonsense. It sounds strong and inspirational.
Shows more of a focus on overcoming through your own actions, while the other option makes it seem like something else is saving you
I think the concept of being stronger than a negative force resonates more as actively fighting against something sounds more proactive.
A because I feel like the title tells the story of someone's will(running) vs depression better, it is a good way of putting it.
This is a clear winner for me. I think the beginning of the title is far more captivating and provides a stronger symbol of the struggle than the opposing option.
I prefer Option A because it has a strong sound to it and sounds like something has been overcome, like in this case, depression.
I think the title of option A is more uplifting. Stronger than the Dark seems more empowering and more serious, I think it fits the theme much better.
I think Stronger than the Dark is better - the beam of light feels like it has religious connotations and while I imagine running may feel like a religious experience for some, I don't think that's what this is about. Being stronger than the dark also gives the reader something innate about themselves that can help them combat their depression, rather than relying on something external.
Option A, "Stronger than the Dark..." seems much more impactful and memorable than option B. The title in option A gives a strong mental picture of the idea behind the book and makes me want to read more. I do believe that the subtitle "The Intimate Relationship Between Running and Depression" is a little unwieldy, however, and this could definitely be shortened for greater impact.
I like A because its saying that you can be stronger than the dark. Maybe meaning your stronger than your dark depressions like you can run your depressions out and be stronger than your dark moods.
i like that. It is adorable because it symbolizes things that people go through in their relationship.
I like thinking about being strong when using running to fight depression.
Stronger than the Dark is a better description of what you will gain through running regardless of whether it has anything to do with depression - you will get stronger, period. Beam of Light really doesn't have anything to do with running so it's not as catchy. Neither title is incredibly catchy, really, but Stronger than the Dark is slightly more than the other one.
Stronger than the Dark seem like it will be more entertaining and dramatic. Beam of Light sounds too general.
A beam of light doesn't make sense as much as stronger than the dark like the darkness of depression
A seems more uplifting
I liked option A the most because for me it was catchy but also meaningful and has a great summary of what to expect from the book. Option B wasn't as appealing to me because with depression you have to be strong so option A would be my choice.
I like the title in A more because of the empowerment it contains, implying that you can be strong in multiple ways (as a runner, in a struggle against depression). B's title is less dynamic and personally relevant in my opinion.
I like the thought of coming out of the dark because a lot of people who face dperession feel like they are in a dark hole that's impossible to escape. A beam of light could be taken a few different ways. It doesn't drive the point home as clearly.
choice A is more potent and catchy

Beam of light makes hope sound more possible which is more intriguing for me
Beam of light sounds more positive then stronger in the dark. When dealing with depression, I think having more positive phrases around is a better idea.
Beam of Light is more hopeful and catchy. I like how positive it is.
This one sounds more positive and life enforcing. I would rather read this one.
Based on this title, I would think that people who run might get away from depression.
beam of light is so much more visual. like i can envsion this imagery.
To me "B" says that running helps depression; thus, providing a beam of light. So, if I am depressed and need something to uplift me, this book (providing a beam of light and an affiliation with running, would definitely help me).
I think Option B sounds more positive and encouraging. It sounds like the book is a solution and could lead readers into the "light".
It sounds positive with a a ray of hope
I like option B the best because the "Beam of Light" part makes it sound like a positive and inspirational book that will dig down deep to pull out the motivation needed by the reader to find a health positive mental and physical balance.
This one sounds more optimistic. People want to read self-help books that are optimistic.
I think when people are looking for these kinds of self-help books, they are looking for a sense of optimism instead of a sense of dread and dispair that option A presumes, hence why I picked option B.
Beam of light is more catchy as it is easy to remember and I am envision a light coming through (running), and making darkness go away (depression).
I like "B" because is it shorter and easier to say, plus I think it conveys are very positive message. The other option sounds like kind of a downer.
I find the relationship in choice a to be more of a coming out of the negative. Where I find the choice b to be more of the lets find the positive. So I would be more pulled in with the choice b. I think the beam of light makes me feel empowered. I want to read how to be my own beam of light through running.
The relationship between running and depression would be most fitting to option B because A Beam of Light would help stimulate the brain and make the depression go away. I prefer option B over option A.
I love this book idea! I am a psychology major and I would be very willing to purchase this! I chose B because it seems to be more focused on a positive solution rather then the dark depression. It seems more geared towards people looking to find a solution for their depression.
Both intros don't do the title any justice. However, beam of light sound more positive
I prefer B because A has an overall "pulled myself up from my bootstraps" [stronger] vibe that could alienate potential buyers. I like the idea that running might be a ray of light in a dark period in someone's life.
The title for option B is much more positive. Talk about the "light" which is positive. The "dark" is bad for someone who is dealing with depression.
I like this title because it depicts a ray of hope for depression through the action of running. Taking the mind off the present and concentrating on a hopeful future will always trump everything else in life.
This title is more engaging to me because it has a positive spin which is compelling and makes me more likely to purchase the book.
I chose Choice B because it is more positive with the title "Beam of Light". When I read that title I breathed a sigh of hope and if I were having depression right now that is the book I would buy. Choice A "Stronger than the Dark" felt down and made me feel heavy. I would most likely not choose that book.
I like the idea of beam of light. It sounds catchy and draws me into and want to find out more. It also sounds nicer and gives a peaceful feeling about it.
I chose B because this book title is more positive and uplifting.
B is better because Beam of Light sounds more assertive than Stronger than the Dark. When I saw Stronger than the Dark, I thought the book might be about vampires or werewolves.
B is a better title. It is a simpler title.
I just went with my gut and something that sound more optimistic I guess.
Beam of light gives me a bit more hope. I think it sounds like a positive.
Depression is real and its a dark place and some people aren't able to fully understand it. However, media has portrayed it depression as like a dark cloud hanging over your head. I like B because it gives you hope since it says light. Light gives you hope . You should always hang onto hope no matter how bleak hopeless the situation is or how you think the situation is. Keep the faith !!
I like B better because I think Beam of Light is catchy and feels like Beam of Hope, which is what you want when you have depression, hope to be able to emerge from it. Stronger than the Dark is odd to me and could be misconstrued to mean that depression is stronger than the dark. That doesn't make sense but I guess that's the point. What is stronger? Depression, the person, running? B just resonates with me more when speaking about depression and getting out of or alleviating depression. I like the word light a lot.
I choose title B because it gave me hope I read it. It wasn’t a dark feeling like the other title.
Light indicates peace and the ability to overcome, whereas darkness refers to what people feel when they are depressed.
There are less words in choice B so it catches the eye more than make the eye skip to the middle part and immediately forget it. Also Choice A’s title is too generic that it can be confused for other book titles. There aren’t that many book titles with “Beam of Light” so it stands out more.
I feel like this conjures up an image of how running can ease depression, and does so quickly. A beam of light makes me immediately think of something positive and upbeat.
I choose B because the words using here is positive. If it about depression, it should use some positive words to bring positive thoughts to readers.
B is more "catchy" as it imparts a positive outlook on the participation of running over depression. The A option is a little "tired" in its view of the "dark" and how its used and described.
Option B title sounds more positive; like running is going to be the beam of light to get someone out of depression.
I love the catchiness of “Beam of Light.” It’s a more positive main title.
This option seems much more positive. Light as opposed to dark.
It trended more positive so it seemed like it may have some tips on how to use running as a tool to manage depression, which to me seems like a good topic and something I’d like to read.
I think that talking about light seems more hopeful and uplifting, rather than using the work "dark."
I like "beam of Light" better because it invokes hopeful feelings. I would be more likely to read this book.
