Which book title is more appealing?
12 Responses to Option A
catchy and cute title. B is typical, predictable
I like the title with the conversations.
Option A is very best
I chose option A because the title gave me more of an insight into what the book was about, therefore making it more appealing. I felt like the title for option B was a little vague.
I think A playful, and cute, and also makes me interested in picking it up.
It is clever and attention grabbing
I like the way the title is written, and it says a very smart dog.
This sounds like an interesting topic because the title states it's a very smart dog. This makes me think i will read something i have never heard of before and catches my interest.
Choice B is a little vague - Choice A lets me know that the dog is intelligent. This peaks my interest. I want to know what the dog has to say. What makes him so smart? It's also interesting to know that the book is a record of an entire year's worth of dialogue with the dog. It makes me wonder how the dog's intelligence and ideas have developed or perhaps changed over the course of the year. I also think it's just funny to call a dog a PhD. I would definitely pick up a book with the title in Option A.
The way "D.O.G." was capitalized and used as the first word was like an icebreaker to me. Immediately thought about my pet and also how interesting it was that PhD came right after. so this is about something of intelligence in a dogs perspective.
I think the title makes the book seem more interesting. It makes me expect a book similar to something by Oliver Sacks or Malcom Gladwell. I can't put my finger exactly on why.
having the word PhD grabbed my attention immediately, giving me a sense as to what to expect from the book. kinda of reminded of the very smart dog show, Mr.Peabody. option the word Minnie reminded me of Disney, i automatically assumed it had something to do with disney though its not.

this is the best one by far
I think B read more clearly and connects with the readers more than A.
I like that the dog has a name, that it is about conversations about her and that it flows better. With A it makes me think of the bounty hunter and not an actual dog.
I like the idea of a dog's perspectives on life.
I chose option B because option A sounds really pretentious.
I do not understand why the other option has . In between the dog letters
I find it interesting to finds one dog perspective on life.
Option B flows better, it's simple and doesn't have any acronym's.
I think option B sounds more interesting. Instead of generally saying a conversation, in option B the title lets you know you get that dog's perspective on life which is more appealing to readers or me at least.
Option B seems like the title of an award winning project.
I chose Choice B because the title clearly indicates the content. Option A is confusion because of the way dog is written, i.e., D.O.G. It takes reading it a few times to understand the meaning.
The other title seems weird to me and doesn't fit right.
This book title is much more appealing for me. It intrigues me to learn the perspective on life from the dog Minnie. Very interesting title indeed. It would make me buy the book.
I like that it is like you are talking to the dog
This is a more straightforward, totally explanatory title. It is one that I would pick. I might hesitate over the other option which is a little bit too much "thought-out," cutesy, and trying too hard.
Simpler and easier to read title, but it does not mention that the dog is special.
I like that this title makes it seems like a more personalized account and a one on one “conversation” with the dog.
I like knowing the dog's name, Minnie, in the title. Makes it feel more personal. The title might catch on more and be more memorable with a name attached.
Using "conversations" sounds more causally & the book might be more of a fun read compared to the other title.
I think the D.O.G. title is cumbersome and not that interesting. The other title is somewhat bland but easier to understand.
I think the dog’s name made it more personal. Also, learning about life through a dog’s perspective sounds more realistic than implying a dog has a PhD or gave someone a PhD which is what option A sounds like.
I like how simple it is.
Option B was more catchy to me, I think people like having the dog's name in the title better.
I think Option B sounds like the best title. Option A is a bit contrived and a bit off putting. I think Option B is more in line with what the book would actually persent and be about and isn't as over the top.
I find the title interesting. I am curious to read what Minnie's perspective could be.
It's simple and to the point on what the book is about, the other is trying to hard to be different but it is way too different.
Neither are great (sorry!) but this title seems more fun and captivating than "D.O.G., PhD"
This title is more down to earth. I feel "A" might be a bit too intellectual for me. In "B", the conversation would likely be more down to earth and therefore easier to read and understand.
Option B is catchy and endearing and would appeal to pet owners of all types of educational and intellectual level. Option A on the other hand may alienate some based on a perceived higher level of sophistication or reading level.
Option B seems too gimmicky and not as serious. The first one sounds like it would be more geared towards delivering important information.
I think a dog's perspective on their life as a pet would be fascinating to read about since it gives a different view on everyday things than what I'm used to. Option A oversells a similar concept and kind of makes me roll my eyes at the concept of an animal having a PhD. A dog maybe be smart, but I'm looking for insights into their world view, not advise.
this makes more sense, I am not sure what the D.O.G. stands for
I like B because I reall like the title, It gets my attention right away.
I don't like all the abbreviations on A. B just sounds more interesting and the dog seems more real as it already has a name.
this title sounds more comforting and relaxed than option A
The other one sounds gimmicky. Option B sounds straight forward.
Much more relatable. Most people don't have Ph.D's and, at least for me, I think of those folks as being a bit above my social stature.
Option A is corny. D.O.G. PhD
