Which book title is more appealing?
19 Responses to Option A
A is more succinct and has an air of mystery about it.
B's name is just far too long. A is much more shorter and simple, which I feel is much better.
Option a leaves it open to possibilities and by being short is easier to read
Short and to the point. Option B is way too long.
There is too much going on with Option B. Option A is short and to the point. I think it sounds good, and I am impressed with the title.
It’s more to the point.
The other one is too long.
I picked A because it leaves more to mystery than the other option.
This title is simple and straightforward as I'm easily able to tell what will proceed and the information is clear about the book overall.
The name is short and direct without being too wordy.
I feel that short titles that don't say everything in the title are the most effective and that is why I made choice A my top one. It is simple, concise and not fully revealing.
I prefer the shorter title because it makes me want to open the book and learn more!
I like option A better because the title is shorter and grabs my attention.
A book title that is shorter is significantly more enticing for me.
I find B too wordy and that something like an illustration to describe the book on the cover could mean you wouldn't have to get too complicated with the title. It's A for this question.
The name is short, making it easier to remember, I also find short names make me more interested to read to learn more about the story.
The other one is WAY too long and unnecessary. It’s like a run on sentence. The first one is fine though.
The title is shorter and more to the point.
Option B is too long for a book title name. A book title name should only be at most maybe seven words.

I like choice B better because it is more descriptive.
Book titles with more of an in depth look of what the book is about is so much better in my personal opinion. I am more likely to pick up the book with more of a description like that rather than to waste my time on a title that is very vague, so I would pass it by. Thank you.
Definitely choice B. It tells me more about the book and what makes it interesting. I love the extra detail, so I like choice B.
Option b because it’s more descriptive of the book but I’m not sure I would refer to Jewish people as “ Jews” because apparently that’s considered racist or something these days
Option 'B' is more appealing to me personally, as the 'Title' explains more about what the book will be about.
Option B tells us what the book is about, which makes it a lot more interesting. With Option A we have no idea what we’re getting, so I wouldn’t be interested.
I chose Option B because it gives me some more background what the book is about.
I liked choice B since the title is informative and descriptive on the topic of the book. Choice A is too plain and doesn't grab my interest.
The caption about the untold story of the Greek Island that rescued Jews in WW2 is definitely an addition and makes the book title much more appealing. Otherwise with just the Island of the righteous I would think that it could be a lot of things rather than what it is.
I chose option B because the title is very descriptive and explains what the title is about.
I like to full description. It's a very serious topic. You kind of want to know what you're going into when you're picking a book like that
I feel like this title gives a little more information into what the book is going to be about, rather than just a vague title
B for sure, as it at least lets me know what it's about and isn't horrible. But holy (literally) moly, B needs some serious editing.
Definitely option B as it discloses information about what is to be read in the book. Option a gives me no idea what the book is about.
Option B is more appealing because it sets up the story. It gives you a time in history and looks to be the kind of story that's historical, meaningful and perhaps exiting.
B helps describe the book a little more in detail than A.
Option A sounds like every Protestant preacher that I ever heard growing up and I am a Catholic. It sounds scary and not like something I would want to read. In option B, at least it tells me it about a Greek Island and their story to save their Jewish friends during World War 2, which would have been a difficult feat and sounds interesting. I would read option B. I like option B the best!
It's more descriptive.
I like the extra detail in B. The other choice doesn't tell me what it's about if I don't already know.
More informative and knowledge on what one will read from this book.
B gives you more information about the book so you can make a more informed decision.
I picked b because it was more informative and gave me a better idea of the book.
I like this one more because it tells you what it's actually about although I would do the 2nd part as smaller font because otherwise the titles is really long
I chose Option B because it provided more detail and gave me context that I thought was very interesting. I thought it was well written and descriptive enough to be appealing.
The title with the subtitle is better because it gives a more detailed summary of what the story is about and makes it a little more intriguing.
I prefer the option that has more details regarding what the book is about.
This title is more appealing because you need a little more information to make it really engaging.
I like the title that is more informative.
B for sure. Giving the little bit of information about what the book is about is important. Having just a brief title like B doesn’t tell you anything about the book. Adding a simple sentence gives the book gives me the idea what it’s about.
I usually like short titles, but the subtitle in B makes me so much more interested in learning about the story. Option A is too ambiguous
This title is less vague than the other one - "Island of the Righteous" could have a lot of different meanings.
