Which book title is more appealing?
37 Responses to Option A
The title makes more sense
Digerati is hard to pronounce and has now clear meaning, while the true meaning of 'hack' can be both good + bad.
This title is more simple and easy to understand
makes sure you are doing it the right way the first time.
the title is less confusing
Smart Hacking gets my attention more
Option A is less cute and more concise, to the point of the book.
I keep getting drawn to this title. It is so easy to get into. I feel the book would be equally interesting to read.
"Digital Digerati" sounds incredibly pretentious. Gross!
Option A is a little more clearer to me. i dont think a lot of people would know what "digerati" is. (I don't)
simpler than the other one more likely to be looked into
A is clear and easy to understand. B uses the word Digerati, and I have no idea what that means.
The other title really doesn't make sense to me. I'm not sure what a digerati is without looking it up.
This one sounds like it will help you not get hacked
It's easier to understand
More pronounceable and easier to remember. Very smooth phrasing to make it seem more legitimate.
I think this one sounds more legitimate and positive.
I have no idea what 'digerrati' is trying to reference. Illuminati? Paperatzi? Like what word is 'digerati' trying to mimic?
I have no idea what "digital digerati" means
I think this appeals to more people, including non-techies. The word "Digerati" probably would not work for some people.
A Is Good
I like Option A, the message is more clear and understandable. Most people would not know the word digerati.
Digerati does not make me want to read that book.
Title sounds smarter to me
It's a lot easier to understand than the other one.
It does not give power to the hackers.
This sounds more fluid. It rolls off the tongue more and captures my attention.
A sounds more intriguing and interesting to me.
I do not understand digerati.
I find A more appealing because it's direct in its intention with the verb "combat". Very strong.
Book A is a much more coherent book title.
The other one sounds wierd to me.
Digital Digerati sounds too crazy. Smart hacking sounds a little more realistic.
I like the use of the word "smart"
A large majority of people will understand the lexicon of this title better
Digerati is a really pretentious sounding turn of phrase and kind of sets me against the book at first glance. Even if the text is good, I really don't want to be in contempt of the branding before I ever set eyes on the first page.
The title sounds slightly less alarmist.

B sounds more provocative - and interesting. A sounds like it is dry, whereas B sounds like you get to understand hackers and why they would keep America safe (vs. out for profit).
this sounds more interesting
this one is more interesting because hackers are just known to steal our information and are bad, so helping to combat cyber crime with their help would be an interesting read
sounds more interesting
Hackers seem like an interesting subgroup. I am not a hacker so I would presume that Option A is not for me.
sounds way more interesting than the other. really catchy name
Option B was appealing to me. It describes the flip side of what is we normally hear as a negative. We are very dependent on data and computers for our national security, for our everyday lives and the freedoms we enjoy. We have to have hackers, people who test the systems and look for doorways in just like there are bad people who do the same. Both titles are relevant, I would just be more interested in reading about how hacking works to keep us safe.
This title explains that it will be about how we can keep America safe from hackers. I also like the work digital digerati more than smart hacking. The other choice makes me think it will teach me how to be a good hacker.
"Digital Digerati" is a fun title and gets the point across but doesn't sound dry and boring. I would definitely be more likely to pick that book up than "Smart Hacking"
I like the idea of Hackers keeping America safe. It's a nice spin on the idea. I'm not sure what "Digerati" is, though.
Name is more intriguing
I like Choice B better because It reflects the modern age and also appeals more to the target audience as well. It also caught my eye faster than Choice A as a personal preference.
I find Option B to be more interesting. It's to the point and descriptive. It tells me what I can expect and what the contents of the book will be focused on.
