Which book title is more appealing?
19 Responses to Option A
Option A is more appealing for the consumer.
I think A entices a broader target of reader or buyers, because "B" closes it to only "beginner travelers". Most people aren't just beginners. I also like how "A" gives options of staying safe, since we are in a world that can be full of surprises.
Much better design.
I made my selection, because the title specifically referred to staying safe while traveling. That's a big concern to me.
Just rolls off the tongue better
I really like A. It sounds like it has very practical advice.
I like the alliteration in option A. It feels like it has a better flow. Also, if this was a book I was interested in, I would be more interested in the book knowing that it concerns traveling on a low budget.
This shorter title is more appealing because of its ease of reading and concise use of language.
It doesn't feel like to much of a "for dummies" book.
I like knowing secrets.
secrets sounds cooler and safe and sane is how i want to be!
I think that the title of A is more amusing and different. I like the title of it much more over B.
I like the title with the word "secrets" in it. The "ultimate guide" phrasing in option b seems so cliche. These days, with experiences being so important, I'm much more interested in secrets of traveling, rather than a run of the mill guide book.
I am more than a beginner, so this book title appeals to me more.
This seems to be a more budget conscious as well as safety conscious emphasis for traveling which is much more relatable for me.
It was very hard to choose between the two. The word "ultimate" gives a sense of lots of helpful information but I also like the phrase "staying safe and sane on a shoestring". If I might make a suggestion about rewriting the title: "You and Your Backpack: The Ultimate Guide on How to Travel the World while Staying Safe and Sane on a Shoestring Budget" Yes it is a bit longer but it combines the best of both titles and gives the potential reader the information they need to know about the book. I would buy a book with this title.
This is more clearly stated and writte
I would prefer Choice A because The title "Secrets of how to" doesn't sound as boring as "ultimate guide". Also, the title directly references "staying sane", which is a must for all travelers while in places unknown.
THE WORD SECRETS MAKE ME SEEM LIKE I AM GETTING SPECIAL INFORMATION

i like that it had more description
I would like to get the tips from B since it says hacks and the likes, things I may miss.
It sounds more relatable for a beginner level traveler
B is good
I don't travel much so knowing that it has beginner information is more appealing for me.
I prefer Option B, because I like that the book is geared toward beginner travelers. As someone who wants to travel, but has not really traveled, I am more inclined to buy a book specifically geared to me.
It sounds more tips and advice oriented
It seems more intriuging to the purpose.
this is more helpful with a guide
Advice for beginner travelers appeals to me. I have traveled internationally but am by no means an expert. Also, tips and tricks seems like you will be able to save money which is appealing, whereas "on a shoestring" conjures up a hostel where I probably would not want to stay.
I like the idea of it being for beginners.
Option B has a nice "flow" and reads very easily.
It's more straightforward and easy to tell what the book is about.
Option B sound like it will tell me what I don't know, making me more successful as a beginning traveler.
I'm always receptive for tips and advice.
I think this sounds more useful.
I prefer Option B. I think it is clear, easy to understand, and appealing. To someone like me, who would be considered a beginner traveler, this actually makes me want to look into backpacking. Option A scares me a little by suggesting there is danger in traveling right up front and you need to know secrets.
I prefer Choice B because the title is more straight to the point. It sounds more educational than humorous, so I would trust that this book would be helpful rather than just filled with humorous anecdotes about travel.
More complete and thorough sounding
this sounds more comprehensive
I absolutely love the title of this book. It really makes me want to learn the ins and outs of backpacking. This really would be of great interest when learning about the topic in general.
Choice A says "Advice for beginner travelers" which is important for me. If I were looking for this genre, that would be the key word to grab my attention. I do like the "staying safe" in option A, a compromise would with those 2 would be great.
The title in Option B is more straightforward and describes exactly who this book is for. The fact that it mentions that it's for "beginner travelers" makes it more appealing to me.
I like Option B title a bit better.
I like option B better because it states that the book will include tips, tricks, and advice. To me, that makes me think I will learn a lot more than I would from a book with the other title.
The phrase "staying safe" in the other title makes it sound like traveling is scary, it discourages the reader.
I like that they mentioned the advice for beginner travelers.
it seems really greatest
This has the catchiest title and is quite eye-catching.
I would choose B because that book option lets me know they are going to give me the info needed to travel the world if I am inexperienced.
I think "on a Shoestring" is kinda old fashion today and a lot of people won't understand the term.
