I would read this book because Creationism and Intelligent Design are topics that I am greatly interested in and have done a lot of amateur research on.

"A scientific examination of God's existence" is much more appropriate because 1st, it would not turn people off by making a thesis (proving/confirming etc), and 2nd, because it is an interesting subject: checking/exploring/discussing what are the possible scientific attempts/methods/experiments that are needed to prove or disprove the existence of a deity.
