Which title do you prefer?
35 Responses to Option A
I like A because it is clear and concise
shorter is usually better for book titles
I prefer a simple tag line with an explanation and not a long title in bold
Its a less simple and shorter eye catching title
The title is much more concise and to the point. Less is more in this case.
I think A is the better title because it expresses the same idea as B, but does it in a way that is much more succinct. I think that B is unnecessarily too long.
shorter title is better
I choose A because it was simpler to read and understand
I like the other title B because it makes me think that there is change here. But I get A's meaning in a snap better.
Clearer and more straightforward
shorter description will get more people to be interested
I prefer Option A. I always feel that the shorter the title, the better, especially when it uses some key words. In this case, "Rethinking" takes the place of "Changing Our Thinking" and I feel all you need is "Safe" in place of "Best Defense." I think people respond more positively to "Safe" over "Defense" so overall, Option A is the best in my mind.
I think the shorter the better..
I like this title because it is shorter and can be read quicker. The title is easier to understand with a simpler message yet it gets the same important message across what the book is about
i like meaning more
This version seems to be simpler and the language used is easier to parse. That is why this is preferred for the title.
Shorter therefore a more inviting read.
I liked the words "Rethinking Hackers" better than the introduction words of option B.
OPTION A IS A LOT SMOOTHER WHEN READING IN AND IS MORE CATCHY THAN OPTION B.
I like that Option A is shorter. It also reads better.
Much pithier and concise
Shorter is almost always better for a title
I like A because it talks about keeping America safe and I think that catches peoples attention more than B would.
I like the verbiage better.
The shorter title sounds better and is more to the point.
This gets the message across in a more concise way.
I think option B is way too long for a title.
This one sounds better and more attractive overall to me.
I like this title better, catches my attention
This title is just a lot simpler than the other one.
I like the word rethinking in this case and what it means.
The title is short and to the point.
I chose A because it sounds better.
B is just a bit too wordy and long-winded compared to A.
As a title, Option A is the better choice for me. It is fairly short and concise, which is what a title should be. It has just enough information to know what you are getting into. The capitalized words are not enough to be distracting and are acceptable. Option B is too long for a title, maybe more appropriate for a chapter or sub-chapter.

Makes more sense
I feel option B is a catchier title
B is shorter and more straightforward.
Wording is better.
This has a stronger message worded this way.
It has a more promising outlook.
I like Option B more than Option A because this option presents what the book is about more clearly than the title in Option A even if Option A is the shorter title. Hackers are known to be bad people and that is not necessarily always true, there are such things as good hackers that find vulnerabilities and exploits without being malicious.
Much more imaginitive title.
I think this title gives a better idea of what it's really about - the main idea.
I prefer changing to rethinking.
I like the use of the word Defense because it is a war and America needs to provide defense.
I like the title of B better. I think it is more interesting and sounds like it would be a better read.
Straight forward and direct
gives moore info
