Which cover do you prefer for a Korean Phrase Book?
Option A won this Ranked poll with a final tally of 31 votes after 2 rounds of votes counting.
In a Ranked poll, respondents rank every option in order of preference. For example, when you test 6 options, each respondent orders their choices from first to sixth place.
PickFu requires a majority to win a Ranked poll. A majority winner differs from a plurality winner. A majority winner earns over 50% of the votes, whereas a plurality winner earns the most votes, regardless of winning percentage.
If an option does not earn a majority of votes, PickFu eliminates the option with the lowest number of votes. The votes from the eliminated option are reassigned based on each respondent’s next choice. This process continues in rounds until a majority winner emerges.
Scores reflect the percentage of total votes an option receives during the vote counting and indicate the relative preference of the respondents. If there is no majority winner, look to the scores to see how the options fared relative to one another.
Option | Round 1 | Round 2 |
---|---|---|
A | 46% 23 votes | 62% 31 votes +8 |
B | 36% 18 votes | 38% 19 votes +1 |
C | 18% 9 votes | Eliminated 9 votes reassigned |

I like the overall design of the cover, easy to read and I like the graphics used.
I chose this based on the images and layout however I really like the pictures better than the layout
I made my decisions based on the color scheme I liked most. Option A is my favorite.
I didn't have a strong preference among these options as I think they all look good and all have the same information on the cover. I ranked A and C above B because I thought the images for A and C were more specific to Korea compared to the image in B. Between A and C, I ranked A higher because I thought the cover looked just slightly more engaging.
They are all awesome in their own way, but the colorful building and tree of A really smacks one in the face. Looks great!
A has the most pleasing cover design that draws my interest the most.
I like "A" a lot and "C" almost as much. "B" is okay but has too much white; very bland in comparison to the others.
I ranked in the order that I like the cover art and find it not too cheesy.
The tree on this cover is very pretty
The tree in A is pretty., and the flag is more prominently displayed. I think the purple background softens the colors more. The flag in C is too obscure.
I love the cover of A because the trees look very enticing for me. I feel that this one draws my attention in. From there, I love C over B because I love seeing the nature of the river on the cover.
I like the graphics on this choice. It is clean and very visible and readable.
I like seeing a form of the Korean flag on top. It fits the book's theme and the rest of the cover also looks professional to me
I like this option because the colors are simple and the tree as well as the building are super iconic for this area of the world
A has the cleanest design. In C, I like the flag, but the building is getting swallowed by the background and there's no clear focal point in the picture because of it.
I think I like option A the best, the illustration and font placement looks really nice for a language book.
My first choice, option A, seems more like an informational book due to the white cover. I like the colors and yin-yang design of the Korean flax being used in the design. My second choice, option C, included the Korean flag. I wasn’t impressed by the artwork of options C and B.
I like the order and centered text of option A (and B), but prefer the lighter text and font of option A. B is OK. C is harder to read.
Option A has the Korean yin-yang symbol at the very top, alerting you to the fact that this is a Korean language program. Option C has the full South Korean flag but it's harder to find. Option B doesn't have it at all.
I can easily say that I don't like option b very much here because it looks so generic and I don't see the Korean flag or symbol anywhere and that's kind of the same thing for options C it's a generic photo we do see the flag hiding in the background but it's not very meaningful. Option A is my favorite here because we can see the Korean symbol the end of the Yang we get the nice text up front and we see a cherry blossom tree sitting in front of a dojo and I think that that is Meaningful and intentional and I like the overall color scheme and it's just the best option here for me
A looks best like a brand I've liked in the past. C is okay. B looks a little too cheap.
A looks the "cleanest" and stands out the best, as the picture with the tree and temple and the symbols at the top say "Korean" to me. I like the Korean flag on option C. Option B picture looks cluttered to me, although I do like the yellow-colored seal against the darker landscape backdrop, makes the seal stand out more than having red against the backdrop.
I prefer B; it's pretty and organized well. B is ok. I don't like easy written sideways on C

I would prefer something that looks a little more populated if I'm going to learn a new language, so Option C's cover is my first choice!
Option B has the red outline around the edges which makes it stand out and look high quality. Option A has a red bar at the bottom which stands out a little. Option C looks very old and dated.
B is the best cover for a Korean Phrase Book. The title is very bold and bright, and grabs your attention right away. A is also a good option as again, the title, esp. "Easy", is emphasized. I find the overall design of C to be good, but the "Easy" being vertical and smaller on the left makes it easy, ironically, to overlook!
I think it helps to have a lot of contrasting colors and shapes to draw the eye, so the addition of the red border in B is particularly good. C and A are a bit plain in comparison, but I find the scene more interesting in C than A.
option B. i like the border it feel like it brings it all together
I chose by options that look most bold and professional.
I think Option B is the most eye catching and attractive book cover. I also like the appeal created by the red border on the cover. It has a nice colorful illustration of Korea on the front cover as well.
Red is a very noticable color. Bordering the front of the book with it makes it stick out.
I like B because the cover flows better.
I made my choices this way based on the colors and style of the book. I felt that these books really made me want to pick up the book and read about it.
I prefer this option the best. I prefer this color combination. I also prefer 'Easy' on top rather than on the side.
I ranked the options based on how captivating and inviting the covers were. I looked at them all several times and option B really captured my attention the most. The white background was appealing.
I chose option B as my favorite choice because I like the red border around the edges of the book. It made it stand out to me.
I like the white space inside the red outline. It is easy on the eyes. The graphic with the rich green trees behind the Korean traditional buildings is cool.
The easy part stands out more and makes me feel capable of accomplishing the goal of learning a language.
I like the mostly white background the best, I can read the text easier. Then I like the one with the cherry blossom tree.
Option B is the easiest cover to read and is quite memorable. Generally I hate white backgrounds, but in this case the white background really works. It allows the red and blue to really "pop". The yellow highlighted circle also is quite prominent against the white background. The cover is well aligned and the font is bold and exceptionally easy to read. Everything about Option B really works.Option C is a solid second, but the color scheme is not quite the same as Option B. The light blue background really mutes the wording making it less prominent. The red highlighted circle is observed, but the words are harder to read at a distance.Option A with the grey background is my lest favorite of the three options. It is well aligned and the blossoming cherry tree is a nice visual, the grey background just gives the cover an overall sad feel. It is a depressing feeling even with the cherry tree.Option B is the superior choice. It is vivid, prominent and memorable. It looks great with a nice image. It is an uplifting cover.
I think B is the best because the artwork is the most interesting, and is really beautiful.

The flag on the artwork is the closest to understanding what country this part is from so this one stands out to me in choice C.
All are great. Just like the look on c a little better. Just preference. Other covers wouldn’t keep me from getting it.
I chose option C first because the colors in the illistration are visually appealing, and I like how an image of the actual Korean flag is in the background. I chose option A second because the duller colors are more relaxing and the image of the cherry blossom adds to the culture.
Really like the first one. Just seems like right at the point where it is enough info on the cover and pictures but not to much. The ohter ones just seem to have to much.
I'm a big fan of minimalism and simplistic design aesthetics, options C and A are the closest to that. I really dislike the red border on option B.
I prefer the option C language book cover because I like the sky blue background color and nice illustration with the flag shown here the most. I chose option A second because I like the gray background color and the nice tree with pink flowers on it a lot. I chose option B last because I do not like the red and white background colors as much on this book cover.
C is the easiest to get the information from. It's pretty clear what is getting presented. A also does well at this. B seems cluttered to me though it looks fine otherwise. All of them get the message across to me.
All three covers have beautiful scenery but C and A are superior. However, I like that C contains the Korean flag.
I chose this book cover because I like the light blue background. It is calming to me.
