Which cover would you prefer for a book with inspirational stories for boys 7-10 years old?
20 Responses to Option A
I prefer A; it's the clearest.
I am torn because I like both of these and I mostly like the title of B better and the illustration of A better (B's looks fuzzy), but what put it over the top for me for A is that the title of the book includes a description of what the book is about.
"A" looks more positive; perfect for a book about inspiration. i like "B" a lot as well but i think "A" is a better fit.
I like A better because I think it's more fitting for a growing child. The artwork is a tad bit more mature.
This one looks more fun with the brighter cover
I like this because it is more fun and playful. I like flying through the sky in the hot air balloon. I like how happy the boy looks and the lighter color of the sky
The facial expression of the character is a bit more tealistic and warmer. It appeals to me.
The color scheme is more child focused and cartoon like and less like an adult sci fi
I like A because it seems more inspiring with the child in a hot air balloon. The child also looks happy and free.
I like having 'boy' in the title, it fits the book's theme well. This subtitle also tells you a lot more about the book, which is important
Going in an air balloon is pretty brave and boys like to be brave. The second look has night time stars and appears to more baby lullaby than inspiring.
I prefer the Inspirational Stories about Bravery, Kindness and Positivity. Sounds very good.
I like this one more since anyone would be drawn to it by the intriguing cover.
The cartoon child on A is more cute and modern. I like his confident gesture of openness. The other looks like the cover of a children's book from the mid 1900s.
The cover in option A looks more colorful and upbeat.
I chose A because I felt that it was more fun and the cover made me want to learn more about the story and world that the character is from
I like a because it you'd be and interesting read for boys those ages and would maybe entice them to read the book
I prefer this one because it gives me an idea of the kind of stories this would include, this all sounds something that boys need and could really use.
I think the title in option B is a little plain, so I went with the other one. I think the subheadlines - mentioning bravery, positivity and kindness is helpful.
I like that bravery is included in the title

The illustration is cuter on this one.
I think more boys would like the cover of B with the space theme.
I would go with choice B. For inspiring stories for boys it is great that inspiring is mentioned in the title. I also like how it says it is for amazing boys as well. That is another way for parents to build up their boys.
B I feel looks the best as it is able to draw my interest to it the most and is able to stand out to me.
I don't like the title of the other ad, it's cheesy.
Too many words on the cover in Option A. Option B is simpler, image is cuter and more inspiring.
option B because there's something about the stars and the night sky that gives it an exciting appeal, and it says inspiring stories so I think it goes together really well. These are both great.. I think there is a lot of kids that would be excited to read a book that had both of these covers.
B because I like that I like that it shows space and stars I think it is important to promote space and science to kids.
I would prefer choice B. I think this book cover would appeal to a boy better, option A seems like it would be for smaller boys.
I think the title is easier to understand, and the artwork is more appealing overall as well.
I prefer this option. I like that it is for amazing boys. I think that phrase will help to sell it.
I chose B, because I find that art style cuter and friendlier, and I like the more grounded activity we see on the cover.
I like this cover better than the other one
The cartoon style is cute for this character and I love the cover of it.
I think this cover appeals to me more and looks fun to read.
I prefer the light and dark contrast of B. It draws my eyes to it. I also prefer the title "Inspiring Stories for amazing boys." It sounds more definite.
I like how the title is a little shorter, it is great because it will suck the parents in but at the same time and i feel like it is a nice easy positive cover.
The painting of the boy in B inspires more curiosity in me. I wonder what the boy is doing out there at night.
I like Inspiring Stories because it seems more like an adventure and less like it would have religious overtones.
The cover is more motivating. Short and strong.
I love the imagine of B at night with a shooting star. So cute!
The background and artwork does not look as juvenile.
B looks more entertaining, like it would keep my kids interested. Since I have to judge a book by it's cover...
I like a bit of hyperbole when it comes to books for children. So I think B is more attractive and fun compared to A.
I like the simplicity of the the title compared to A and I also really like how it builds a boy's confidence by calling them "amazing"
The simpler title is more appealing to me.
This one looks more custom made.
'Inspiring' sounds better than 'Inspirational' and the shorter subtitle makes it sound less preachy
B is more ornate, detailed and magical.
I prefer B because it’s less smarmy; no kid is going to want to read A and I as an adult would never buy that expecting them to.
