I personally struggle with depression, but I can't see how metaphors are particularly beneficial, so I would be most drawn to the subtitle that doesn't mention them.

A is simple and to the point, which is the point. The other two aren't bad but not really needed.

I liked A best because it felt the most punchy and didn't have a lot of verbal clutter as B and C both did. B and C both lost me with their metaphor language....

A is right to the point. "How to be up when things are down". Good and simplistic, just the way that I like it. Any further details can be elaborated on by me reading the book.

I liked the brevity and simplicity of Option A. Frankly, the idea of making metaphors work in such a regard doesn't make sense to me. I don't understand it so the idea is off-putting. I think different wording needs to be used. I like how my imagination can be let loose with the shorter title of Option A. Option B was second because "up when things are down" has a nicer ring than "how to be up when feeling down".

A because of limited text, easy to read, simple and to the point. C because feeling down were good words to use in it.B liked least of the three text wise, the emotion in C was better.

Option A is more direct and more general in nature. Regardless of what the "things" are, it draws you in and not just based on how I am "feeling". I'm always interested in learning more about how to be more upbeat, more positive, etc.

I chose my first choice because it didn't mention metaphors. I wouldn't like reading metaphors to cheer me up because I think that's too much of a gimmick and not addressing the underlying causes of what's making a person feel down. I chose my second choice because even though it mentioned metaphors, it was more personalized because it said how to be up when you're feeling down. It was about you and when you're feeling down as opposed to the last choice which was impersonal by using the word things - when things are down.

Option A isn't descriptive enough. Option C is too wordy. Option B is best.

I like B best because it describes more about what the point of the book is. I don't A, the title is too negative. I read it and didn't feel good about it. I don't think I would pick that book up to read it.

Option C's is more descriptive about the book's topic compared to B and A. And option B is more descriptive compared to A.

I like the sub text in C best. The word feeling is key here and paves the way for the reader.

Recently, it's me who is feeling down as I lost my mother during the pandemic, so a book title targeted to me feeling down is more suitable than a book that focuses on when things are down.

Honestly, only option C makes sense. The wording "when you're feeling down" is relate as everyone feels it at one time or another. It is something we all can relate to.

Cute book title; I would read the dust jacket and peek inside.
