I like the handles in B on the side, followed by the indented style handle in A. C is okay, but D looks like it would be hard to hold being so wide.

This color stands out the most and also makes the quotes the most readable so i think this is easily the best option presented here for a bottle of this type.

I feel the order of the phrases on the bottles I picked were the ones that most made me want to get to the next level and made me feel like there was less left to go and that I could achieve it.

D had a depressing black color that was not motivating at all. I love the hot, fresh, feminine pink for B as that felt bold and confident. I liked that C featured tropical colors. A felt a little tacky with the bright red.

I would buy C. I absolutely love this color and I like that the bottle is skinnier in the middle. This makes it easier to hold on to when I'm on the go. I would click on that one.

Option C is colorful and it looks like it would fit in most cup holders, especially the super tight car cup holders.

I really like the colors on this bottle. It gives the most healthy look possible

I like the shape and color options of C, I would be comfortable carrying it around to use and as a conversation starter. Option A because of the no excuses and a little bit more near the bottom is a good motivator in that position of wordings. Between D and B, I like the wording better with D starting with good morning.

I LIKE OPTION C because the writing really speaks to me i think with this bottle i can finish my daily goal of water intake

C has the most ergonomic design in my opinion and I also like that subtle color fade from the top to the bottom.

I like C the best because I like the design and shape of the bottle and the sayings best. I like B somewhat too because it has a handle. The last two I don't really care for. They're too fat and not tall like C.

This water bottle is indeed motivational and FUN, and I think it would be best re: the former if one got the bottle in two colors, so you could see your progress move into the other color.

I like the ombre pattern, the quotes, and the colors most in Option C.

I like C and D because I think the wording is more motivating and also I like the "You did it" at the end that makes you feel accomplished. I put C over D because I like that it shows the other colors of the water bottles. I put A next because I think the motivation can be a little bit better and I think the words in C and D just do it better. I put B last because it doesn't have the finish at the bottom. I like that the others make you feel proud that you did it, this seems to stop as you finish.

Option C is the best choice. This is great and love the different shape. More unique and this makes it fun. Love the blue and pink gradient too.

I like C and D because they say you did it at the bottom, which is very encouraging. I like choice A because it says well done at the bottom, not crazy about the color, but I Like the message. Choice B says you got this, which isn't all that great of encouragement.

I dislike red as a color for a water bottle because it is a color I associate with toxicity. The bright pink color of B also looks like something toxic. D is plain black but that is better than the red or pink, though not ideal. I like C because I like the shades of blue and purple. Blue is a color I associate with water.

Survey Analysis

Winning Option: Characteristics and Appeal

  • Option B emerged as the preferred brand packaging design, securing 12 out of 15 votes. Respondents frequently highlighted its aesthetic appeal, emphasizing the luxurious and high-quality impression it conveys. The ability to stack packages was a notable practical advantage mentioned by participants.
  • Several respondents appreciated the monochrome color scheme of Option B, which they found less overwhelming compared to more colorful designs. This preference for simplicity suggests that minimalistic designs may resonate well with this group.
  • Additionally, environmental considerations played a role in favoring Option B; some participants noted its reduced plastic usage and recyclability as attractive features.

Key Topics Across Options

  1. Aesthetic Appeal: Across both options, aesthetics were crucial in influencing preferences. Participants often referred to colors and overall design quality when justifying their choices.

  2. Environmental Concerns: Both options had respondents who valued environmentally friendly aspects of packaging. However, while Option A was praised for being reusable and eco-friendly by some, others perceived Option B’s reduced plastic use as more sustainable.

  3. Practicality: Practical elements such as ease of stacking (Option B) or suitability for travel (Option B) were significant factors in decision-making processes.

Hypotheses for Further Testing

  • Investigate whether minimalistic designs consistently outperform colorful ones across different demographic groups or product categories.

  • Explore if environmental messaging on packaging significantly influences consumer preference when compared with other attributes like luxury perception or practicality.

  • Assess how important stacking capability is relative to other functional benefits in various contexts such as home storage versus travel convenience.

These hypotheses can guide further research into understanding deeper consumer motivations behind packaging preferences observed in this survey context.
