  • Based on a paranormal romance series about leopard shifters, which book title would make you click to read the description and why?

This is a 3 option poll with 50 respondents targeting Books Read - Romance (Books: Romance). A sample of responses:

    • "Savage" sounds terrible, like someone will get eaten or something equally as devastating. "Cursed" sounds better. "Twisted" reminds me of a contortionist or something.
    • A: For a paranormal romance book, "Cursed Fate " sounds paranormal and i feel it will suit the description.B: Twisted Fate is less impressive title than Cursed Fate.C: Savage Fate doesn't sounds paranormal series.
    • I like option B, Twisted Fate. It seems like a page turner and something I'd like to read. I also like this one best because I feel like one of the other names could be offensive.
    • Savage has negative/racist connotations, so I would not want that word in the title. Twisted sounds more fun than cursed---cursed is automatically a bad thing, twisted just means confusing.
    • These are pretty generic for a PA romance title, but who I'm a to talk. My first one was titled Shifter. LOL!!! C is my favorite. It makes me the link of wild sex. Cursed isn't bad. I wouldn't go with Twisted unless there is some were kink in the story.
  • Based on the cover, which book would you rather buy?

This is a 2 option poll with 50 respondents targeting Books Read - Romance (Books: Romance). A sample of responses:

    • I like that the background in A contains more scenery. You can still see the woman clearly, and the background is very complementary to the theme of the sub headline. The sky really speaks to courage as well.
    • I would pick up B because I love the darker heroine!
    • You know, I like B more than A, but it's hard to figure out why. I think B just seems like a much more 'modern' style of book cover, while A reminds me of books I saw my mom reading when I was little. B also seems to place the figure shown in a more human-shaped environment (trimmed hedges rather than a wild field) and I do not really like books set in the wilderness.
    • I love the color of the sky behind the woman. It is eye catching and my eye was drawn to it immediately.
    • A is a more complete picture with more of the person and scenery exposed.
  • Based on the description, which book would you rather read?

This is a 2 option poll with 50 respondents targeting Books Read - Romance (Books: Romance). A sample of responses:

    • I don't really think a content warning is necessary and if anything it turns me off, since it's not really an author's business to tell me what I will and will not enjoy reading.
    • I like the shorter fifth paragraph. The content warning on A is kind of funny, but I don't really need it in a book synopsis. B looks more professional.
    • I like this description because it provides more detail. I also like the fact that it compares other books. I think it is very important that people are finding the types of reading material that they like.
    • i like choice B the best. It's a lot shorter of a description.
    • it include a content warning
  • Based on the title, which book would you buy?

This is a 2 option poll with 50 respondents targeting Books Read - Romance (Books: Romance). A sample of responses:

    • true love wins!
    • I think the title in Option B makes me think there will be more to the story and make it more interesting.
    • I feel that A reads more fluently. Sometimes less is more and I like that it is more direct and to the point.
    • I vote for option A. I guess that words "true love" are better than "triumph of love". At least for me option A has much more sense than option B. Might because I have TRUE love in my life. True love lasts forever. Triumph can't be for many years, it's a short feeling. IMHO.
    • I would be more interested in this book because "triumph of love" tells me that the two people involved will need to overcome something that is likely interesting to the audience.
  • Based on the cover, which book would you rather buy?

This is a 2 option poll with 50 respondents targeting Books Read - Romance (Books: Romance). A sample of responses:

    • B has to many effects added to it that it doesn't make the guy welcoming and want to know about the book, while A literally looks just like a picture that would be in a photo album
    • Choice B because of the vibrant color of the sunset and the sun shinning down on the gentleman. Make it a very attractive sell.
    • Though i really love the sun setting image on B but it looks quite warm and don't see much of a peace look. But in A, the image looks calmer and peace so i feel it fits well for the title of the book with blue background gives the vibes of Malibu beach.
    • I love the sunset and it was what I envision when I think of Malibu. The man is very attractive.
    • I would rather buy choice B because this book cover is more lively. It is more vivid and radiant. The other is dull and boring and makes me think that the book will be boring. Seeing the sunset image in the background is bold and the man's radiant skin is very visually appealing. It leaves me curious about how interesting the book would be.
  • Which book cover would make you buy the book?

This is a 2 option poll with 50 respondents targeting Books Read - Romance (Books: Romance). A sample of responses:

    • I like the white and black combo more honestly because the red against the black is actually quite hard for me to read and see so I prefer the white as it's easier for my eyes to follow.
    • Choice B is easier to read with the white text. Choice B looks more like a horror book with the red text, and makes me worried that something bad happens in the book. The book looks interesting, and I think if it is a romance then the white text is less scary.
    • I like the white wording and image. It makes the words/image easier to read. The red runs into the black background.
    • The option A definitely is more attractive and intriguing and keep the tone of what to expect from the book.
    • i like the black and white contrast.
  • Which Email Subject Line Would You Click?

This is a 2 option poll with 50 respondents targeting Books Read - Romance (Books: Romance) and Gender (Female). A sample of responses:

    • I would not click on either, of I'm being honest, but choice B makes it seem like it may be a show I could watch that starting soon. The other one saying, "Due" is a bit confusing.
    • It just seems like option A is in reference to having a baby. Someone having a baby is always an exciting time. That is why I would choose A over B.
    • Option B sounds like something I would be interested in buying and sounds like a good opportunity for my gain. Option A just sounds like information is being given and it probably doesn't apply to me anyways.
    • B is bold, memorable, intriguing, and easy to remember.
    • i don't really like either one. i only chose B because it made more sense.
